PC A17 death penalty

From the sounds of things in madmoles vids there will be attributes to lose stats on. My guess is you will be weaker/slower/carryless/worse-at-aiming/craft slower/need more food-water under the name of an illness for some time.

Id love it if you barfed at random intervals or something like that which ruins the stealth etc but my moneys on the stat loss

 
Well... maybe out of date now:

but he did say that, similar to Fallout, the "real damage" (the black bar) will be huge after you die, which isn't NEARLY as punishing, as losing 10 wellness... but I mean... I guess its fine. At least now its not as frustrating to die :D

 
As long as there is a way to get it back. I like the Diablo method. You lose XP, down to a max of where your current level began.

(losing gold was, big whoop after a while)

Losing wellness was annoying, but that's where the one perk came in, to help offset that. You could and did get your wellness back though.

 
The main difference is that when you die in Alpha 17, your character stats are transfered to your new life when you respawn. Basically any stamina, health penalties you had before you died will be transferred too and maybe even diseases but we still have to get that confirmed.

 
When I first saw this thread I thought the OP was going to imply that the devs should be given the death pentalty because of the a17 delays 😂

I really hope that is the case and that hunger/thirst doesn't fill up.
