That's a weaponsmith survivor exclusive receipt. The tool that automatically determines the workstations always gets fooled by those. We'll fix when possible, as well as the wiki.with limited time and manpower it's hard to keep everything fully updated.
For people with problems breeding animals, my advise would be to clean up your animal files. The worst that can happen is for them to loose some progress but they may start working again. All my test server animals are still breeding and i haven't Priorized that particular problem.
@Mort IMO animal husbandry is one of the major features that sets it apart from other 7D2D mods so think it should be higher priority than other issues, especially if half or more of the players experience the issue. I think animal husbandry is up there with settlement NPCs and bandits. Another thing is you should not assume that players will restart a world from scratch every time a new build/patch is released. Any patches should not break existing worlds/features. If (new) builds/patches require a brand new world to work, then you should let us know.
As for the fix, I am trying several things.
1. Setup another enclosure far away from my main base with a cow and bull. Test still ongoing.
2. Picked up all large animals and placed them down again in my main base. Issue still exists.
3. I had a bunch of large animals in my chests so I killed all but one of each male and female (max animals in area checks?). Issue still exists.
4. Removed existing troughs and made new ones, 1 for each enclosure. I think there might issues with multiple troughs within a certain range of each other. Issue still exists (animals not breeding/eating).
5. Wasn't sure what you were talking about regarding animal files so I poked around and found the 'MorteAnimals' folder. I deleted all the files in that folder. Went back into the game and the folder was repopulated. I looked at one of the files. In the file line 1 is a number (assuming animal ID) and the rest of the lines are 0s. Not sure what that means or if that is correct. Test still ongoing.
6. I noticed that after placing a newly acquired animal down, they don't run away anymore like they used to.
Regarding wiki and manpower. I think one of the issues is that the patch notes don't go into much detail. I know that you like to give vague notes so that we figure out things for ourselves for us to experience the 'surprise.'. The problem is we don't know if something could be a bug so we post strange behavior on this forum. I think it would be easier for you (and us) to give out as much info as you can in patch notes. Perhaps adding a spoiler section for people who want to figure it out for themselves. You could add spoiler sections in both the patch notes and wiki.
