I would give you feedback on this idea... but I have no idea what you meant o_o could you try and rephrase your idea?

where do you want to load the ressources and what does that have to do with upgrade tools? and why would it stop wasting ressources???

i mean accidently upgrading something , you just load your nail gun with concrete for example , and upgrade with it , and you can be sure you wont accidently upgrade a block to steel

this is not in any way helpful. You would need to change the material every time you want to upgrade more and then you still need it in your inventory... just be more careful while upgrading or simply dont have the material in your inventory that you dont want to use :-/

dude think wider , you can have the option "all" to upgrade to anything you want , i dont want to drop the steel everytime i want to upgrade something

or check all the materials you want to upgrade with , or set an upgrade limit .

any of these choices will work

yeah... i get u now... buuuuut... seeing as there are WAY WAY more urgent issues to be solved and them stating multiple times that they have limited time... I'd be okay with this beeing left out. sorry
