A New tier for melee weapons

i wish there was a 4th new tier for the melee weapons like the guns have, like for: sledgehammers, knives, spears, and fists. therefore melee weapons can be useful in the end game instead of using guns most of the time and wasting ammo, even though you get a plentiful amount of ammo in the game, but it is so satisfying chopping/bashing in zombies heads.

I use a spear all game. I do have a gun in case things get crazy, but I'll run even an infested tier 6 quest with a spear except in certain areas like in the large prison where too many zombies attack at once in an outside area. I have seen many others comment on using melee all game as well. So it can definitely be done.

As far as another tier, it's been suggested many times. I have never seen any comment from the devs saying they were considering it, though. They would have to make the enemies harder to make it worth adding a new tier, I think. Even with the new tiers of zombies, melee still works fine.

A middle tier of stone and iron and a high end version of steel would be nice to both slow things down and scail your power

I terms of power

Spears, sledges, batons and clubs are still good at high levels

Spears and clubs are my go too

I hate stamina on sledges

I don't use knuckles without aid like alcohol and im just not a fan of knuckles and are really only useful once you get too steel, wraps are awful and iron knuckles are mediocre

I refuse to use knives, the machete is ok and fun to slice with but without a book set imo it's a massive handycap

I haven't tried spears for a long time. I actively used clubs when I played through force - a good weapon.

I don't like the attack speed of the sledgehammer.

I have the opposite. I love brass knuckles, I really like the high attack speed. The wraps are of course so-so, but I disagree that the iron knuckle is bad. It is not bad at all until the glowing zombies appear, with their appearance it becomes weak. But as a rule, by this time I have a steel knuckle.

This weapon is for those who prefer stealth. I don't use it.

Knives are great, I generally play agility builds. I have never found the lack of a dedicated book series for knives as a handycap.

The only weapon missing a T3 variant is the stun baton...but with its current state in 2.0, a T3 baton is completely unnecessary

The current T3 weapons for sledgehammers, clubs and knuckles are all very much end game capable. I just spent the last 2-3 blood moons on my groups server with nothing but my sledgehammer and consumable buffs stacked up. Less expensive and more fun than building and maintaining a horde base, IMO. Insane difficulty, if anyone's wondering.

Edit: autocorrect with a mind of it's own
