The current skill system with magazines is heavily flawed for co-op play. The more people you have, the more annoying it becomes to either consolidate points into a single person, or thinly spread things across the group thus slowing down the progress of the game by a landslide, increasingly exponentially for each play added to the group.
The latter being a particularly annoying process as a lot of people might want to be able to craft their own items and not bother min maxing magazines.
What should be available is a way to consolidate crafting levels across multiple people and give it to everyone. So, here's a suggestion:
Add a crafting station in game that allows multiple players to essentially copy their crafting XP levels to a pool that then gets tallied up. From there players can freely take that pool and copy it to their own.
Example: Player A has 21 points into Workstations, Player B has 8, and Player C has 1. By interacting with the station each player can copy their XP value over to the station and pool it together to create a level of 30 in Workstations. Now they can then interact with it again to each gain 30 in the skill.
This doesn't have to be free to use or anything. But I believe that this, or something like this, is a major QOL feature for co-op that should be available to use.
