As a shooter game, most people who play them enough are very observant, some are not, but they die a lot too! From the multiple youtubers I have watched that play 7days I have deduced that your game causes these youtubers to lose 60-70 IQ points and have the observational skills of Helen Keller. Just an observation I have made.
I'm looking forward to seeing what your pro play channel does, and hearing the observations that others make on you. From the multiple youtubers I have watched that play 7days I have deduced that your game causes these youtubers to lose 60-70 IQ points and have the observational skills of Helen Keller. Unfortunately for you I don't need to be told by strangers how great I am, so I don't have a youtube channel or twitch channel. I play games for entertainment not to get my ego stroked. And for the record the post was made in jest.I'm looking forward to seeing what your pro play channel does, and hearing the observations that others make on you.
Sounds like most zombie movies/TV shows.I don't like watching LPs, because people play not the way i would.
Watching 7d2d LPs is like:
"What are you waiting for, open the ♥♥♥♥ing loot container"
"You've missed looting that book shelf"
"Didn't you see the Zombie there?"
"Didn't you hear the zombie steps from behind you?"
"Reload your ♥♥♥♥ing weapon"
"You forget to take repair kits when equipping for the raid"
"You're at full food, why are you eating stuff?"
"There's a single zombie, why are you wasting your arrows, especially when you let the Z come into melee range anyway"
That's not limited to 7d2d, that's basically always when watching open-world-crafting-game-LPs.
I'm sure i'd comment my own videos the same way when just watching and not playing. :shame:
With movies/shows i do not have the comparison to playing by myself.Sounds like most zombie movies/TV shows.
That's what i said. I'd see the same mistakes in my own recordings when i'm just watching. As a side note, It's funny how alot of people complain about such things but everything is easier to call out from the third person from the comfort of their tv/monitors. A good analogy is back seat drivers...
But now from THIS post we can see it wasn't merely in jest....Unfortunately for you I don't need to be told by strangers how great I am, so I don't have a youtube channel or twitch channel. I play games for entertainment not to get my ego stroked. And for the record the post was made in jest.
What's interesting is that game companies have figured out that showing a video of someone playing a game poorly is actually an effective marketing device to get people to purchase the game. If they know they could do better than the example they saw they often feel compelled to play the game in order to prove it to themselves.I don't like watching LPs, because people play not the way i would.

So they are using the old "I know I can do better than that person so I will buy this $24.99 dollar game so I can show everyone I am not just talking out my ass" trick. Sneaky...What's interesting is that game companies have figured out that showing a video of someone playing a game poorly is actually an effective marketing device to get people to purchase the game. Sure, but that's a completely different issue. What's interesting is that game companies have figured out that showing a video of someone playing a game poorly is actually an effective marketing device to get people to purchase the game. If they know they could do better than the example they saw they often feel compelled to play the game in order to prove it to themselves.
here's a little lesson in Trickery! So they are using the old "I know I can do better than that person so I will buy this $24.99 dollar game so I can show everyone I am not just talking out my ass" trick. Sneaky...
Reminds me of a comic I read once of someone "teaching" a new player of an MMO game how to get proper directions and answers to questions. What's interesting is that game companies have figured out that showing a video of someone playing a game poorly is actually an effective marketing device to get people to purchase the game. If they know they could do better than the example they saw they often feel compelled to play the game in order to prove it to themselves.
It is nothing about showing somebody is wrong. It's about "he is not doing like i would do (but how i'm doing is the only correct way)". But not doing everything exactly how somebody thinks makes these kind of game worth playing. The experienced player looks at the confused new player and explains that no one wants to bother to help some random person, but no one can resist correcting someone else who they think is wrong to show how much better they are.
I am so utterly thwarted that I have nothing wonderful to share with the self-proclaimed Saltlords of the internet. Woe is I.Unfortunately for you I don't need to be told by strangers how great I am, so I don't have a youtube channel or twitch channel. I play games for entertainment not to get my ego stroked. Marketing people have entire volumes of techniques to exploit emotional vulnerabilities as well as arrogance. Suckers are born every minute. Have you seen those Dr. Squatch videos on youtube? Those are supremely explicit in their exploitation upon wee man masculinity. So they are using the old "I know I can do better than that person so I will buy this $24.99 dollar game so I can show everyone I am not just talking out my ass" trick. Sneaky...
