5-slot armor system instead of a 4-slot

Hello, everyone!
I'm sure everyone liked the old armor system (5 armor slots and 5 clothing slots). Back when it was in use, there wasn't as much detailed customization as there is now. But with the current variety of sets, a 5-slot system would allow for a more personalized character appearance-otherwise, with the 4-slot system, everyone just runs around looking like clones. And if also made it possible to dye armor like before, there would be even more variations in appearance.

It's unlikely that they'll split pants and shirts/tops again. They combined them to reduce issues with clipping. Most clipping usually occurs between pants and tops, so combining them means they don't have to fix clipping on every possible combination of the two. It saves a lot of work.

Now, I agree that it would be nice to change your look more by wearing different pants versus tops, but it just isn't likely to happen. The best we're likely to see is them creating more cosmetic outfits (preferably not as paid DLC) for people to use that will help with customizing how your character looks. They could look at the combinations that were most popular in the old system and add some cosmetic outfits that look similar to those. That would at least help some.

As far as dyes, they originally said that was planned. But they haven't said anything since, at least not that I've seen. Hopefully they do still add dyes back for armor.
