Anyone tried this in A17 yet?

I have, and it seems like it needs a little balancing. I know it may already have been, but not of b199. I looted a dozen POIs and found precisely nothing in any container.

Just getting the opinion of the community. Have I been unlucky so far, and you aren't finding a problem with 25% loot? Or is this common and worth bringing to the attention of the devs (If they aren't already aware of it)?

 
I enjoy low loot, the problem is you wind up with super feral glowing zombies that you can't kill. Wish they would just take them out of the game.

 
Why exactly would you set your loot level to 25% and then complain about it? Its the hardest option on loot so it is supposed to be hard ...

 
What do you think 25% should be, though? I'm watching a streamer right now who literally finds 0 loot in any containers except tiny amounts of feathers. Does that sound anything like approximating 25% when 100% means you can be swimming in guns and ammo and various other things? I'm not sure the 25% loot setting is working as intended, but I'm also not sure if it should be put in as a bug or not.

Hard, not impossible. It's 25% setting, not 0%.

I'm not actually complaining, just trying to establish if this is intended or common or whether I've just been unlucky.

 
sounds busted to me. The containers that have an already looted counterpart graphic are always supposed to have loot in them and in the past the tougher loot percentages were still supposed to guarantee one of something if something was going to spawn in that container. So if the container would have had 2 bottles in 100% loot it should still have 1 bottle in 25% loot. You should report it.

 
I really don't like low loot, I don't need to be drowned in stuff, but my idea of the zombie apocalypse is much like Dawn of the Dead. Life's a warehouse. Surrounded by zombies.

 
I don't mind the low loot, but I fracking hate the static containers. Utter laziness, in both design and implementation. Tfp is better than that.

I love them. You should just go into the XML's and mod it out.

 
When we are out of experimental, that's the plan. And level gating. And making the death penalty harsher. Thank goodness we have those options, I'm glad you agree.

Exactly the problem. Simplifying the game. Used to be you had to open and find it empty. Less to do is not a good option imo.

Now that they have the quests, I think it's ok to reduce pointless activities like opening empty loot containers.

It would be awesome if you could mod them to switch states after they've been searched so that the open versions don't mean empty-- just searched already. Do that and I'll convince one of my children to name one of their children after you....and I'm talking about your forum name.

I mean if they are open, they are empty, but you can use them for storage yourself. Or make it so that you can upgrade them with the corresponding materials to the closed model.
