20.6 Lost Save Game Due to Power Outage

I've read in previous versions how to create a new game and copy over the ttk file into my save game.  However, this doesn't seem to work with the new alpha because it will not allow me to reuse my seed.....anyone have any idea how to recover this save game????

 
I did it!  I had to delete the 'Generated World' under appdata/7daystodie then also delete the 4 ttk files under my save under that same map name under appdata/7daystodie/saves.  I copied all other files after deleting the 4 ttk files and transferred them to another folder on my desktop so I'd still have them.  Then I deleted that save.

Once I deleted my save, and the Generated World map, i was able to reuse my seed.  I started a new game with the same seed.  It logged and I immediately shut down the game.  Once the game was shut down i went into the NEW save game, cut and pasted the main.ttk file into my old save game.  Then, I deleted the new save and pasted my old save with the new main.ttk file back into the folder.  

Fired right back up, albeit on day 1...but stats/game stage/base everything is intact.  I'll just open the console and accelerate the game time to where i left off!

If anyone else is having this issue and my crappy explanation doesn't necessarily help, let me know and I'll take more time to help you!  

 
This occurs because the game is constantly reading/writing from the save files. A fix is covered in the Support FAQ thread, though if you attempt to start the save after you had the crash, you have generally roasted the backup file that you could use to restore everything.

I read the FAQ as well as watched people on Youtube go through fixing corrupt saves.  However, I couldn't find one pertaining to this Alpha 20.6.  Their fixes didn't work exactly, but mine did with all progress and items intact.
