PC 2.0 timetable, mean streamers, and console to pc converts

IZZY calling them out, this video is DEAD on.

He is the Pied Piper of the miserable branch of the community. He gets (seemingly) very angry about the dumbest, most inconsequential things. I watched a little bit of one of his Tarkov mod videos and he got so upset about the vanilla gun animations (reloading, etc) because of how much he liked the mod's animations. Like, who cares? In the immortal words of the legendary film director, William Friedkin, "I don't give a flying f@#k into a rolling donut" about the damn reload animations. The vanilla reload animations look like reload animations to me! No one is hanging reload animations in the Louvre next to the Mona Lisa. Who cares if they have a few more frames or not?

A few things to consider - it could be his age. When I was a teenager, thinking everything sucks gave me a false sense of authenticity. Or, he's just not a happy person. Or he's out to get TFP because they personally hurt his feelings. Or, negativity sells. Youtube is rife with negativity. Videos with titles like "The Downfall of...", etc, etc gets the clicks, which is my biggest gripe with YouTube creators, generally. OR...it's a combination of all of it.

Over the past few years I've made it a practice to not engage with things that @%$# me off too much...unless it pays me money...and it would have to be way more money than he'd be making off YouTube. If the game makes him that upset and no one wants to watch him play anything else, if I was him, I'd quit YouTube and get a regular job. He's stuck. He's stuck having to act miserable and he's stuck playing 7 Days to Die, because viewers don't like change.

A few people complaining about moved back release dates. 🤔 Surprised nobody has brought up the fact that Rockstar has moved GTA 6? Developers have problems. Glad ours want to bring us, the best product, they can!! Go TFP!!!

I backed "Titanic: Honor and Glory" in a small way years ago. It isn't a traditional development effort, but it started development (sort of) in 2012 and it hasn't been released yet. I'm not even sure they're making the game anymore, but are making videos and virtual museum. Every year we get to watch an even-more accurate depiction of the Titanic sinking. When I made my donation it was supposed to be some kind of murder mystery with VR. My point being... that's 13 years without the game coming to fruition.

Hello everyone,

this is my first post and  i am from germany. So i am sorry, if something is wrong with my english. I want to ask if there will be changes because of the savegames in 2.0? Will it be possible to create more than 1 or 2 save games? We are playing in a group of 3-4 Persons and we only can play, if the "HOST" is online... that's very sad... i think it's because there are no official servers. Will this be changed? We play on PS 5 console.

Like in China, mostly we will spend some money to rent a server for multiplayer so that everyone can join the game without a "HOST". But it's for PC. I don't know if that works on PS5.

I just skimmed the post above and I'm wondering what stops TFP releasing 7DTD 2.0 ?
The crossplay ?the new biome? Or something else. I'm dying to play new version🙀

I’m not sure why you are particularly excited for dedi support since any dedicated server a console player will be able to join will have to be strictly vanilla. Are your servers strictly vanilla?  Are your PC players ready to go back to vanilla just to have console players join in?
How vanilla should it be?
For example, a server has a mod for chat commands that can teleport a player or reset their character to level 1. There are no other changes to the server. Will a console player be able to connect to such a server?

Those are usually from external server managers. Most likely that would work since it isn't an installed mod. However no one will know until details are released.

Something locally installed like ServerTools or CPM probably won't fly though.

Yes, right now console players can only play peer to peer and that means one of the group must host the game on their own computer. In the future, console players will be able to join public dedicated servers so that no one in the the group has to host and people won’t have to schedule playtime around when that host can play.

However, there may not be official servers provided by TFP. Right now there are no official servers and all servers are run by individuals who can alter or end the server whenever they want. Your group should be aware that unless you guys set up your own server you will be playing on a random individual’s server and you won’t have any control.

Depends on whether the game code itself gets touched or not to enable such tools. As Sylen said, we’ll know more but it’s best to keep expectations at pure vanilla until we know the reality.

If [someone] were banned, it is because they violated the community standards.

If you see something wrong, just report the post as abuse.  I had a few former users sent me DM either threatening me or telling me to take my own life.  The moderators here do a good job on trying to remove those kinds of toxic people from the community.

Removed reference to the specific user(s) being discussed, on the grounds that community members aren’t to be publicly named & shamed. -CC

he didnt mention hating the game, he hates the team.
If you randomly picked five of his 7DTD videos, I guarantee he mentions his strong disdain for 7DTD in at least 3 of them, especially when it comes to vanilla. He does not hide his dislike of the game and has fully admitted he basically feels "stuck" making videos of it because that is what his channel was built on. And to be fair to him, it is extremely hard to build an audience on YT or any media platform, so I get where he is coming from. That being said, I cannot stand to watch very much of his content for how constantly negative he is. You can have criticisms, but content creators like Guns Nerds & Steel are very good at presenting those critiques in a very constructive and professional way.

Honestly I think it's a cultural thing. I'm not very vocal about it but I agree with him, he's not wrong. I am also British.
The British, especially at the moment, are quite an unhappy population on the whole. Especially, I would say, the subset of British people that are also online a lot. The Scottish are known for their cynicism and wit. Generalising a bit but stereotypes tend to come from somewhere. Breaking news, Scottish man in 2025 is miserable and cynical.

Personally I'm pretty fed up with the delays, but complaining about it does nothing.

it takes the right carrot to get people to switch to pc from console.  For me that was Skyrim.  For others this will be the carrot.
ive known thousands of carrots who switched from console to pc on 7d2d, just about anyone who plays pvp and luvs this game the switch is almost automatic. Most pvp players want to play on big servers so when they find out console doesnt provide that they switch. Also in todays world a gaming pc is cheaper than the average smart phone people running around with so its alot more common people switching from console to pc than you may thinnk.

1. Scarlet Nantes
2. Napoli
3. Bolero
4. Little Fingers
5. White Satin
6. Sugarsnax 54
7. Yellowbunch
8. Viper
9. Royal Chantenay
10. Kuroda Nova

Though if we're talking about the number of people Gramps knows, that's a different story.

Remember, at least half of the "2500+ pvp players" on his server are alt accounts. I would estimate it more like 2/3rds of them.  It's pretty well known that PvP players keep alt accounts so they can log in to re-grief people, or to evade someone griefing them.

Considering the console version that people could play up to this point was very outdated, anyone switching to PC because of this game was more likely switching due to wanting the newer version of the game than for PVP.  And any players on the new console version are likely to have already gotten it on PC if they wanted to.  After all, there aren't dedicated servers at all (yet) and they didn't even have crossplay until last December.  If they wanted PVP or even multiplayer, they wouldn't have waited unless they just couldn't afford to switch.  And it has been common knowledge that consoles will only be able to connect to unmodded servers, so no one should be waiting for the update and expecting to play on any other kind of servers with console.  At this point, the percentage of console players who switch, whether for PVP reasons or other reasons, will be quite low.

As pointed out, a large percentage of the accounts that you are claiming to be unique players are really just alts.  The number of unique players who play this game with PVP is relatively low.  And I'm talking specifically about a PVP game and not about people who just kill another player for achievements or whatever else.  After all, we went over that a few months back, showing that the percent of people completing the achievements for killing other players is very low.  And a large number of those are from people like me who just want the achievements and am not actually playing PVP.

As far as you post about iPhones... they aren't going to manufacture them in the US.  They've already said they planned to move it to India to avoid tariffs.  Maybe the price will increase, but so what?  It's Apple.  Prices are already ridiculous and people still buy them over and over again because Apple people are insane. ;)

The one thing I'll agree with you on are prices for console versus PC.  Especially with the next PlayStation pricing.  No longer will a console be cheaper than a decent PC, meaning that anyone who used cost as a reason to use console instead of PC will no longer have that reason.  But that has nothing to do with this game or with PVP.  It just makes more sense to use a PC instead of a console for most things anymore.  Yes, console has certain advantages.  But PC has far more advantages.  It's better to have both PC and console(s) and play games on one or the other based on which is better for the given game.  Since this game does best with mods, PC will always be the better option for it.  For other games, console may be better.  But again, that has nothing to do with this game or PVP and if someone switches to PC because it's cheaper than the next gen consoles or because it offers better options like modding capabilities, you can't count those as having anything to do with PVP.
