18.4 update took away crouch

While overall I'm glad for the update (18.3 ran rough on my system and crashed a whole helluva lot while 18.4 seems to run much more smoothly) I noticed that I no longer have the ability to crouch in the random gen save I was playing. I thought maybe the keybinding had become unmapped, but that wasn't the case. I'm going to fiddle with it a bit more and see if I can get the problem solved. I know I can always restart the game (and I will eventually), but that's not really an option atm. Just thought maybe someone ought to know about this.

If you had crashed during that previous save, it could be a corrupted save. Does the issue happen on a new save? Have you verified the key bindings?

The new save is pretty recent (Day 3, level 4). While I had some lag issues before the update, I didn't have any crashes. Before, however, when playing a normal Navezgane map I had crashes every 20-30 minutes after the update to 18.3.

Yes, I verified the key bindings. Crouch was always at the default setting and I never changed it. I went into the settings, removed crouch from <Ctrl> and re-applied it. Nothing. I doesn't make the game unplayable, but it is adding a new twist to my play, lol. But it's for a YT series, so restarting is not really an option right now.

N/M...I found it. For some reason it had gotten mapped to the "+" key on the numpad. My blind ass just didn't see that it reset when I thought I was changing it back. Oddly, though, even after I fixed it, the game re-mapped crouch back to the "c" button when I hit "Defaults". Strange, I don't remember "C" being the default key for crouch. Am I just senile?

That would make sense, though, if the default got changed from Ctrl to C. It would also unmap my key after the update if I had a different setting. I just don't ever remember it being C. I swear I never changed it.

Ctrl is to toggle crouch. C is to crouch as long as you are pressing the key. These have been the defaults for many alphas..

Okay. I guess I should have paid more attention to that. I have nearly 1000 hours in the game and I never knew that...I don't think I ever pressed C on purpose at all.

Then I have no idea why I lost crouch.
