Console [12/11] Message from the Team - Patch 13 in Submission!

The pillar below; does it go to floor level or just floor to ceiling on the second floor. If there is a space below the column, that will be your issue.
It goes to the ground floor. The base is basically a flat cube , with the construction like this: 1st floor = solid wall 1 thick on 3 faces, with the 4th face a series of horizontal poles. The 2nd & 3rd floors have full foundations 2 blocks thick. The support pillars are full blocks, 1 block thick, and spaced at either 6 or 7 block intervals. I'll have to check if a block is missing underneath the area that I am having the issue, or if there is a frame I forgot to upgrade.

Thanks for the response!

I really wish you would get the lead put its not hard to take the game as it is on PC and bring it to console i firmly believe your pulling the same crap bungie is doing otherwise the game would already be at that stage if the game isnt complete why the heck would you have sold it to us to begin with thats dumber then preordering a PREORDER

There are plenty of listings describing what ALPHA, BETA, EARLY ACCESS, etc types of games are and what should be expected when you enter into a program like this. While some studios abandon their projects pretty quickly, this pair (TT&TFP) have shown no signs of letting up, so while at times this game is like a slightly nutty significant other, (s)he's still a lot of fun.

For perspectives sake, John Carmack (idSoft founder), when asked by reviewers, gamers etc about the completion date of any of his new projects, dating all the way back to DOOM, would always answer the same way:

"When it's done"

So, yeah, it's kinda buggy, but I guarantee you that your $$/per hour spent on this are so low that it should be very appealing to continue as long as it's still a fun game for you to play.

If not, then go ahead and hit a AAA title for $70 or some random free to play that might cost you $xxxx before it's all said and done.

Update isn't gonna delete my game is it?!😢
Nope, and no restart needed either. Clare's very good at posting exactly what is changed/fixed etc with each patch and this info always appears at the top of the first page of this thread. 👍👍

The live update is below this and not up in the sticky section for some reason. If anyone cares lol

If you read above or explore some and read the threads you will find the answers. That is all I will say to this. Not going to go into it again because it will get off topic and not going to repeat the same thing over.

I like your restraint! Comments like his drive me (and the other diehards like yourself, I'm sure) crazy. Some people don't get it, don't research, or just don't care. I am thrilled these devs don't listen to the "hurry up" nay-sayers and are working diligently on putting out a true masterpiece. This game is a masterpiece imo. I've been gaming since Atari and NEVER have put so many hours into one game! Every update (bug fixes or content) is FREE. It's like Christmas every few months. Chill out, people...

Said it already, but thank you Fun Pimps. Hats off to everyone involved for creating such a truly enjoyable, immersive game. Please keep up the hard work.

Is the MD5 glitch addressed in this patch???
The short answer is: probably yes for a larger number of people than before but no guarantees that you personally will be in that group.

out of my heart, thx.

I think you might have missed his point and it is a valid one. Name me one game that was sold as a finished product that has been out for what 2 years on console that still has known crash issues(Xbox)? I understand the love for the game or I wouldn’t still be playing it but at some point TFPs have to be seen as a company and be held accountable for releasing an unfinished buggy game. If TFPs were EA would you be so quick to come to their defense? Blind faith in any company is a recipe for ruin. Again I love the game but I will hold any company (no matter their size) to the same standards.

TFP didn't do the console port.

I see and understand where you're coming from. For me, I bought a digital copy from the marketplace and it stated it was not a finished product. The Long Dark, and even PUB G stated this as well. I expect bugs and issues from games like these, but also expect patches and fixes. Idk if the disk copy had a warning on it or not.

On that note, I'm pretty sure TFP have heard complaints such as yours and have taken them to heart. If you watch madmoles videos he has stated that the team has brought in AI specialists for the zombies, people to work on the POI's etc. So they are working hard to finish their product

I don't think we did. His and otherspoint wasn't about the crashes and such as much as matching the pc. This isn't being blind it is just knowing why the console doesn't stay up to date with pc. As far as crashes goes I have not seen them given up yet so until they do I still stick behind them. Also TFP are working on getting the pc version for the game finished. A different company is working on the console porting what they can when they are able to console. Now I don't have a clue about this but maybe when the game is finished on pc TFP might try and help with the console. I guess that is something either they will answer or we will find out later down the road.

It is their game....you don’t get to wipe your hands of it as soon as you sign over the rights and they even have said themselves that they work with said companies in at least sending them the assets and none of that covers the looong over due crash fixes. Still I love the game but even I am starting to wonder why I was able to buy an unfinished game on disc.

Nobody has said anything about wiping hands. The main focus is for them to finish the they started on pc first. This doesn't mean they don't care or they are not helping when they can and so on. But they also have obligations to finish this game on pc where it started. Another team came to them and seen in pc version A14 what they had was good enough to make a game out of it for console so they worked out whatever deal they worked out and the other team took over the console part so they could focus on the pc and finish it.

As far as you being able to buy this game on disc. It isn't I don't understand where you are coming from and not that I don't see your point. But for console it is a finished game. The console team saw a finished game at A14. Does not mean it isn't buggy and all the above it doesn't mean that they are not going to keep adding what they can for console. Just means that no guarantee that console will get anymore content so technically if console is at the limitations and can't handle anymore content then the game is finished on console. The console version isn't doing alphas and testing the game so goes back to why they call it finished. So technically it isn't unfinished unless you talk about the bugs and crashes. But that isn't what makes it finished and unfinished. Every game that comes out today has bugs and you buy them on disc so the question is why are you able to buy them on disc? Yes this game probably has more issues then others but bugs are bugs. Like I said I understand what you are saying and it isn't that I don't. I just know that the team has not given up yet and are still working pretty hard to fix the issues. Just like any other game that comes out just they are having harder time fixing the issues then other games but then again other games are not like this one and this game does have high limitations when it comes to console. The way I see it knowing this as long as they are trying they have my support.
