PC 1.0. No, this is still alpha.

No, that will never solve anything. The moment you'll have a PC game on console it needs a few tweaks from m/k to controler.
Also: When consoles turn "next gen", PC will too or already had.

The only thing that will prevent consoles holding back PC is to skip crossplay.
Or in the Xbox specific case: Don't demand downward compatibility. Launch a base console up to newest tech standards, maybe add a pro version a few years later but please no more half S console.
(Pun intended).

Probably true, i wonder how many more sales you make because you have  crossplay and how many will not buy on PC due to restrictions for weaker consoles. Not that relevant for 7 days to die as this was in early access for so long before the console release.

Is it worth @%$#ing off PC players with having less than they  could have? People still look for people on the same platform even with crossplay, so the additional sales can´t be that many.

Why not just change it to Beta 1 and 2.

Alpha was spent trying to get acclimated with Unity,
and figuring out some basic mechanics. That period
has passed, giving a decent foundation for Mods of all
categories.

So now it's in the Beta stage. Workable mechanics models,
tech fx, most of the kickstarter obligations, etc. completed.

Then the next 1 when it's being finished like for real, meaning
it has achieved seamless integration between PC and console, and
quick 1:1 rollouts on all distribution outlets, A story, a boss battle
or two maybe. It can be called Omega 1, the final stage of development.

Alpha to Omega. Everything that has a beginning has an end.

Or just give it prefixes like this to give an idea of the Phase Progression
or developmental stage that it's in. This gives some directional flexibility.

 Α α (alpha), Β β (beta), Γ γ (gamma), Δ δ (delta), Ε ε (epsilon), Ζ ζ (zeta),
 Η η (eta), Θ θ (theta), Ι ι (iota), Κ κ (kappa), Λ λ (lambda), Μ μ (mu), Ν ν (nu),
 Ξ ξ (xi), Ο ο (omicron), Π π (pi), Ρ ρ (rho), Σ σ/ς (sigma), Τ τ (tau), Υ υ (upsilon),
 Φ φ (phi), Χ χ (chi), Ψ ψ (psi), Ω ω (omega).

Its all just Greek to me.
