(1.0/A21) bdubyah's modlets

Are working motorcycles supposed to spawn randomly in the 1.0 version you posted above?  Two spawned on the 8k map I'm playing.  I am definitely not complaining :)
There's always been a small chance for working vehicles to spawn where wrecks and repairables do since I added this vehicle system in.

Is there a way to change the key bind for the pip-boy?  It defaults to the middle mouse button for me which I use for something else.

Currently, no there isn't. I am looking into making that possible somehow. There are a few mods that add custom keybind support, so I'm gonna look into it at some point.

This has been discussed periodically and appears to be client related. One reported a fix by updating to DirectX11.

And some TFP QA support offered multiple suggestions.

This is a very rare posted issue and I have never seen it reported specific to a Mod before.
All the best with troubleshooting.

Most lootable vehicles in the world, like sedans and school buses can have them, plus garage/pass'n'gass crates. I think all traders, especially Johnny can carry them as well.

Also, just to note I have moved Wasteland to its own thread here. So post there with issues/questions.

And a reminder it has its own Discord now as well, which you can join here. :)

Pushed a small update to Bdub's Vehicles. With the release of 1.2, TFP fixed the selling to a vending machine issue, so I removed the dll as it isn't needed anymore. This means the vehicle pack is safe to use with EAC again. :)

Maybe I am not understanding something here.  But when you install a supercharger mod on a vehicle, isn't it supposed to get faster when you hit the turbo key?  Vehicles like the GNX and the Nova are so slow.  And adding a supercharger mod doesn't seem to help.  But the pickup truck does seem to benefit.  Can anyone offer any advice?

Like slower than normal? I tested and they seem fine to me. I tested the GNX. Without the supercharger it runs around ~12m/s normal and ~17m/s holding Shift. With the supercharger installed it goes up a little over 1m/s for each. The supercharger only adds 18% to the speed. You can type dm in the console and hit F3 to open the menu that shows your speed and test for yourself.

Well, I say that because the default 4x4 without a supercharger is able to drive away from me being in a GNX or Nova or even the beloved 70 charger with a supercharger.  Being that those 3 cars are legendary old school muscle cars, I guess I just expected them to be much faster.  Also, the 3 full sized motorcycles are noticeably slower than the default motorcycle and can't steer or stop as well.

Now, the pickup truck, Stallion and Willys Jeep seem to get noticeably faster with a supercharger mod.  Just can't steer or stop very well either.  Otherwise, I have no complaints with those vehicles at all as they are so much fun to drive.  Bonus points for the Stallion as it has brake lights.  It's a beautiful car.

They should end up a bit faster at top speed, but some of them I did lower the torque a bit to make them more driveable. Probably why the 4x4 gets going a bit faster. But top speed they are a touch faster. But I try and stay near vanilla speeds as the game struggles enough sometimes to keep up with even that, so I'm not gonna go and make them crazy.

A few vehicles do have a decent top speed.  The Willys Jeep, the pickup truck and the stallion are good examples of that.  Those are fine.  But others like the Nova, GNX, Charger and the 3 full size motorcycles are noticeably much slower and need much more room to stop and turn.  The dirt bike is cool.  I haven't tested any of the other cars and trucks yet.  The 2 choppers are great and the duster works pretty good.  The extra seating mod makes the passenger face the rear of the plane.  Is that intended?

Is there a possibility to make improvements on the brakes and steering?  As it is now, a number of the vehicles take nearly twice the distance to stop compared to the default vehicles.  And trying to make a tight turn at speed is very difficult.  The front-end pushes like your front tires are flat and you just crash into something.  I'm not trying to be insulting or anything like that.  I love this mod.  I am just trying to explain what I am experiencing.

Also, I am not sure if this is by design or not.  But the Willys Jeep decoration model has no density.  Meaning, players can walk right through it.  All other decoration models have density.

I absolutely love this mod, but i have started a new server using the District Zero mod, and while i can occasionally find accessories for the vehicles, and even some5times an entire vehicle, at one of the trarders, I cannot build the accessories or chassis myself. the vehicles are unlocked, so if i can find the parts i can make them, but i can't make the parts. except for the willy jeep, which uses 4x4 accessories and chassis. am i missing something, or is this normal?

Has anyone tried this on 1.3b9 ? All vehicles seemed in slo-mo and the MD 500 couldn't get off the ground. So before I post logs etc I thought I'd ask in case I've been a dullard or something .

Cheers

Can't just expect mods to work with an overhaul. DZ likely overwrites some xml. Not sure how vehicles work in that mod. All I can say is maybe rename my mod's folder and add a Z to the beginning of it so it loads after DZ and that might fix it. If it doesn't you're gonna have to ask Zilox about it.

Seem fine to me.

thanks, and yeah, i thought it might be something wonky with dz, not yours, but i had to ask, because i am definitely a dullard and might have missed a skill i need or something. i will give the z thing a shot and see, will report back. i have the stuff in my crafting list, it is just locked. picked up a uh-60 chassis from a trader in game, so if i can find the accessories, i can build it. i just can't make the peripherals.
