Hey Fun Pimps, please sort this out once and for all, ■■■■ it!

This is just a cheap advertisement. You haven't experienced the problems our country went through. If you didn't pay protection money, they attacked all the servers listed. Now we're finally no longer being attacked. :咖啡:

Hi Everyone,

We are checking into this and hopefully will have something in place to prevent this from happening. Thanks for reaching out about it.

Best,
Dollie
Are you still checking or have you given up trying to resolve the chinese invasion?
It's very indecent what you do to your customers.
If you don't have the capacity to resolve this, how about asking Chinese technicians for extra help...?
You are nothing but amateurs, and 7dtd and we deserve much better.

Hi there,

We are still actively looking into the issue and haven't given up on it.

I understand the frustration, and I have made a consistent effort to report issues and see them through to resolution. That said, comments like this are not constructive and do not help move things forward. If you have specific details or new information that you would like to share, I am all ears.

I am here to help get this sorted as efficiently as possible, and I appreciate your patience while we work through it.

Meanwhile, for anyone interested, there is a workaround to help reduce the number of Chinese listings while we await a final fix. If you enter a language in the server section in the server browser before you press the start search button, those servers are less likely to show in the browser. This is a workaround and NOT the final solution.

Best,
Dollie

Hi Dollie,
I don't have the technical skills to add much more. I'm just a customer and I feel frustrated because I can't play on the servers I enjoy so much.
I could also add, as a kind of question, why are only some regions affected?
Africa, for example, doesn't seem to have been attacked by the chinese.

Hi WolfThief,

If I understand correctly, some regions may have fewer listings overall so they never reach the cap, whereas more active regions have a larger pool of servers available, so the server cap is reached.

I would have to dig deeper to give a more meaningful answer since this isn't my area of expertise. I have notified the networking team so hopefully we will see a fix soon.

Cheers,
Dollie

I sincerely appreciate your kindness in wanting to resolve this. But if the problem is and always has been something related to a network attack, shouldn't the problem have already been escalated immediately to the network team with the highest priority level?
Don't you meet daily? We haven't been able to use the servers where we usually play with friends, for many days, and the 7dtd community is once again being harmed by the company that should best respect and care for it.

Can we please have an update about this?

Can we please have an update about this?
Hi WolfThief,

Thank you for your patience and for expressing your concern. As a gamer myself, I completely understand how frustrating it can be when something isn't right. I assure you that the issue has been escalated to our network team and is being treated with high priority. Situations involving network-related disruptions take time to diagnose and mitigate safely.

Just to clarify, this situation should not prevent you from accessing your own server directly, any servers saved in your Favorites or History, or by searching for a server by name. You can also try filtering the server list by language to help reduce unrelated listings. In addition to that, listing your server with a specific language or languages can make it easier to find via filters, and you can also use Steam's built-in server browser to help locate and connect to servers. While these options require a few extra steps, they can serve as workarounds while we continue working toward a full fix.

I will share further updates as soon as I have more concrete information. In the meantime, we really appreciate your continued patience.

Best,
Dollie

Hi Dollie,
I know how to do all that you so kindly suggest. It turns out that, for security reasons, the server administrator won't put the server online (and well, I would do the same) until TFP definitively resolve the problem. Many other admins won't do it until it's secure. And so, we, countless players/customers, are deprived of being able to play the game we bought. I know you can't, but I truly believe that, deep down, more than understanding our frustration, you also find it regrettable that a company takes weeks to resolve this problem..
In decades as a gamer, I've never seen this happen with another company. Once again, thank you for your dedication and help.
Cheers

What security risk do those server admins think about ?

I know many servers playing online without issue and playing fine .

I'm curious about this as well. I haven't looked into the situation, but it seems like just spammed "servers", where you just have a lot of fake servers or even servers that are real but are set up just for spam purposes. None of that poses a risk for other servers and just makes finding the servers more of a challenge. Maybe I'm missing something that these spammed servers are doing? Are hackers are taking over real servers and changing them to look like that spam? That would be surprising if that's true.
