Unrelated: My comments have had some very annoying people today. Some of them are looking me dead in the eyes and saying "who cares about any of this, mods did this. where's all the new content like swords, biomes and vehicles"

In the same mods you just mentioned like what are we doing bro

Do I have to agree with every little thing they say in order to be grateful for the "communication"?

I don't believe them because they have given me no reason to believe they can meet self imposed deadlines...even one as vague as "this year". Does THAT mean Dec 30th 2026? who knows? Joel said two months ago they were going to announce an updated road map...do you see that?

You are definitely not cut out for Early Access (as the game clearly still is and was only called 1.0 to please Sony and Microsoft).
Maybe stop playing it and wait until you read that the game is finally in full release.

Any early access games that post new updates probably wanted more features in the new update, but some stuff didn't make it in, but we didn't know about it since they didn't post what the update was suppose to contain in the first place. This way, they cannot lose and TFP should do the same.
TFP: Update 3.0 is coming sooner than you think
People: But what's in it?
TFP: It's a surprise! Soon tm

Sounds like you just were wrong about her role. I mean, you see the "Creator Manager" title there, right? She manages/promotes creators, and does QA IIRC. She isn't a community manager. What made you think she was going to be?

When you say that "it was only called 1.0 to please Sony and Microsoft) I take what you are saying to mean that they lied...just to get it on console. That implies to me, that you are saying, I shouldn't have had any faith in the road map or the dates at all. I don't think that's the view YOU would promote.

I agree....I don't play normally play early access games...and they normally don't get on the console platforms this unfinished, so normally this is not a problem for me.

Yes, TFP are saying that 3.0 is coming "sooner than you think", with or without the (tm), do they mean v3.0 sandbox? or do they mean 3.0 Bandits? be nice to know. because there is no need for any confusion.

all im saying is if they had someone who communicated with the community as well as she promotes youtubers than there would be alot less confusion.
I see faatal doing his best weekly trying to keep everyone updated but he is knee deep in 3.0
just calling it how i see it is all.

Yeah, she promotes people who are part of the TFP content creator program (Basically YouTube and Twitch streamers).
I suggested at the time that she should also be the person in charge of posting news and sneak peak of upcoming features and such, but I guess that's not happening.

They didn't lie, TFP was forced to call it 1.0, they wanted to continue with Alpha 22 (as the forum entry was called for a very long time). Sony and Microsoft didn't want an Alpha games so the way around it was; call it 1.0 and you can publish the game on our consoles. But you know that already.
It's still an unfinished game. The message is clear when you start the game:
