So This is what is being released as 3.0? I'm not a fan of putting this out ahead of Bandits and Story.

don't get me wrong...glad they followed thru on making a sandbox version...just not that it got prioritized over finishing the road map.

Some suggestions:

Storm damage multiplier x0 x1 x2 x3

Storm duration in minutes 5 10 20 etc.

Fall damage multiplier

Number of zombies in the world

Hide POI level icons

have them add spawn distance on death
to prevent death loop and death cheese
anywhere from 250m to 1500m would be good

At what point did anyone say Bandits would not be included in 3.0? And, btw, story was never slated to be a part of 3.0...

They wouldn't have named the update Sandbox Siege if it was the "New threat" update.

Devs have talked about changing their naming convention so this 3.0 update would have been 2.X before.

It's just semantics, but it will make some people angry because 3.0 was bandits under the old naming convention.

I would love to have the option to start the game with certain professions, so you start with a wrench if you pick plumber, axe if lumberjack etc

Version numbers are changing. There will be less .x versions and more x.0 versions.

I've asked them to clarify THAT, but, so far nothing...except they posted a little glimpse of the sandbox preview....which says that it is v3.0

i am quite aware that 3.0 was supposed to be Bandits and 4.0 was for Story....the sandbox IS getting in before either of them...I didn't think I had to specifically spell that out.

"people" might not get mad...IF these people actually explained themselves.

2.0 blew ■■■ but calling 1.0 not a success is a stretch when it's literally when the game peaked in players lol.

Unrelated: My comments have had some very annoying people today. Some of them are looking me dead in the eyes and saying "who cares about any of this, mods did this. where's all the new content like swords, biomes and vehicles"

In the same mods you just mentioned like what are we doing bro

Do I have to agree with every little thing they say in order to be grateful for the "communication"?

I don't believe them because they have given me no reason to believe they can meet self imposed deadlines...even one as vague as "this year". Does THAT mean Dec 30th 2026? who knows? Joel said two months ago they were going to announce an updated road map...do you see that?
