Feedback about the current patch

So, ive listened to and watched a bunch of streamers and content farmers have an opinion and I have to say... I can agree with alot of whats being said but not for the same reasons.

1. Early Gamestate
I think the early gamestate is great in terms of loot found, struggle to get moving and so forth. Genuinely, I think the early game is in a very good spot now and dont have alot to speak about short of this.

2. Biome Badges and Freedom to engage
In a game that has, since inception been about open world exploration and survival, one of my biggest gripes is biome badge progression. I hate how this FEELS.
Id like to suggest biome badges be reworked in the following wise;
Badges can be got in any order.
The only thing biome badges do is make you 'immune' to the storms in so much as you can take cover in the biome.
I explicitly want to be able to enter biomes, without badges and 'potions' but only till the next storm when I must leave till potion/badge.
Remove loot bonus from badges and revert to biome-based bonus'.

3. Survival is 'easier'
I think the main point here is that the temperature system should come back.
Id like to suggest the following;
Make Debuff Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Debuff tier 1 and 2 can happen during basic storms these are basic debuffs from being too hot/cold (Thursty, Hungry increased rate) and should be triggerable by generic storms like lightning, rain, snow, ect.
Tier 3 is only triggered by severe storms in the non-basic biomes.
Tier 4+ is caused by the current in-game storms and thus provides a reason to get biome badge but doesnt require it.
The unique storms should stay as is but with reduced frequency and duration. (About 2-3m for basic, 3-6 for big.)
-=Add consumables for weather resistance (Like immune to T1 storms for 3-5mins.)=-

4. Endgame Changes (New Zombie Templates)
The new zombie types are amazing for the endgame and I think this is one of the most beneficial changes made. The blue zombies make me afraid of the undead in a way ive not felt since A16 and the addition of the Orange templates over just spawning demolishers is a breath of fresh air. Lootbag changes are also really nice and reward risky gameplay which are all healthy changes for the game and kudos on this part.

5. Perks are too OP in some cases
Some perks are just wayyyy too good now. I get fun is key but we must keep progression in mind. Books and Magazines are A-OK cuz you can still mitigate acceleration via parts and components but things that sluff damage to the point of negation is a bit much. Likewise, ammo is now a bit TOO prevelant in various income exploits and brass exploits as to become no factor, even early game.
Bleed being more plentiful is nice but itd be even greater if there was stack-a-bility across them from individual sources.
Stun Baton didnt need buffs. (What were you thinking? LOL.)
Fun is good but lets keep a mind on balance too, Pimps. Fortunately, balancing with numbers isnt a very difficult process relative to coming up with new ideas for em and I think with time, perks will get more balanced.

Im greatly looking forward to bandits. Please get them ready for 2.0. They have the potential to utterly change the game meta and I cannot wait to see how they are implemented. Please, allow me to get 1shot headshot next to my base by a roaming sniper. x'D
I know some of the changes have been requested already and the pimps are moving to address them so keep at it and I hope this feedback is useful.
Keep up the development. I still love this game.

Have you tried playing the game?
2. Biome Badges and Freedom to engage
If you listened to the developers instead of bloggers and streamers, you would know that the biome system still needs to be balanced. One of the upcoming changes is independent biome discovery.
3. Survival is 'easier'
I think the main point here is that the temperature system should come back.
And again, you don't read the news from the developers. The temperature system has been removed from the game temporarily, due to its rework.

Perfect example of why content creators shouldn´t have any special rights in the upcoming Q&A dev stream like some people suggested.

The weather is also the perfect example how content creators only care about views. Acting like being wet was actually a meaningful debuff when you only recognized that you are wet due to the umbrella icon.

Sure did. As my post says, agree for differnt reasons.
Youre free to your opinion too you seemingly over-angry individual. xD
And I sure do read the news. I was giving my feedback.

Thanks for yours too though! Ill make sure your opinion is instantly entered into the log and held in the archives for future gods like yourself to comment. x'D
Your comment added nothing constructive to the conversation. Thanks anyways!
(I have about 100hrs on this current patch to form an opinion, since you seem confused/incredibly angry for some reason.)
The pimps have actually directly commented on the negative reviews and are currently analyzing feedback to make changes, per thier comments/posts. They are well aware of issues and indirectly asked for feedback and thus, my post. I just wanted to make sure they got opinions from people who are NOT streamers to make changes...

I agree with this pov alot. This last instance really shows the need for more comments on new patches rather than just streamers content farming and hyping new release. More people able to comment wouldve helped... But I think it also wouldve delayed it further and people were already turning red with anticipation.

Being wet increased food consumption and being hot increased water consumption.
Really, mostly meaningful in the start- aye. As game moved on it was meaningless. We dont have clothing to combat it now though so its less easily adapted and using consumables over clothing would make it a reasonable mechanic in a similar wise while expanding on the foundation.
I *DO* think the game has gotten easier in terms of basic survival.

Id like to see weather effects have meaning in the game besides just... Adding flavor... Or being a "storm" in non basic biomes.
Immersion complaint here. xD
Weather does nothing where I live but if I move into Idaho, there are all a sudden cataclysmic storms. Just weird.

PS: What if the Pimps gave out a few keys to random folks to add to comments and still allow streamer weekend? Think this might hold some positive feedback?

1) Earlt game is too easy. No survival really needed. Everything comes too fast. You get 3-4 levels in your first weapon often by day 2.

2) I'd you think of the toggle-able biome progression then you would think of upcoming storyline content. It would make sense to have biome progression in the progression mode. Don't want that then perhaps turn it off?

3) Agree. They have said temperature is returning so we will have to see.

4) Agreed. The new zombie types give more challenge to the end game which was sorely needed.

5) This is an ever changing balancing act. There will always be a "meta"

Bandits will hopefully come in 3.0.

Ive been playing this game since A4......the game has now progressed to a NON survival game with less and less sand box play. The theme seems to be that you can play our sandbox game but you have to play the way we want you too. Less choices, less individualism which means less fun. The biome smoothies have to be one of the dumbest ideas along with badges. Learn by doing was so much more fun....all you had to do was raise the limits to 300 or 1000. Instead we get the book system...read the same book 100 times ?? Isnt that learn by doing?? Bring back the old systems, armor and content that made the game fun. Its too scripted now and not as exciting and fun. Bandits..are they ever coming?? Its been like 5 years!! Plague spitters and Yetis now.....Really?? Are ghosts next?? No offense but the iterations of this game have gone from great to what are you doing.....the earlier versions were exciting and challenging and had a hell of alot more content!! Love all the pois but you need to bring back the BEEs and the honeycombs along with explosive barrels. The fun we had with them!! Bring back rivers and jars!! Just bring back survival!! It was supposed to be a game that had a little of everything...now it just seems like you're bored. Just my opinion...
