Longer daylight options...?

i noticed in the update that was released today July 15, 2-25 - a notation that says "DayNightLength >= 10"
I have a Dedicated server that i rent out by popular online hosting services and it's open to crossplay.
Some folk mentioned they would like to have the day longer beyond 18 hours of day like. The 24 hour cycle is set at 60.
But i found if i change a setting on the PC dedicated server that the xbox which i actually play the game on; is that my xbox says "non-standard game settings detected in this game" ... PC to PC is fine, but console just doesn't connect..

B9 update on xbox while it appears B7 is is on the dedicated server "Game version: V 2.1 (b7) Compatibility Version: V 2.1".....

will this update fix the ability to make the day longer? or some way to make it longer so xbox can connect to a PC dedicated server?
I did see the 24 hour cycle can be changed from 60 to 90 on a PC setup and Xbox, but i'm concerned it will just make the night longer and still keep the day as 18 hours which would defect the purpose of folk wishing for more DAY time, not NIGHT time.

Thoughts?

I'm here for justice. Do you need me to interrogate the Devs? We want more hours. Us and me. Where are the hours? Where have the hours gone?

(if inoffical support is acceptable :) )

I am sure that if you set DayNightLength from 60 to 90 then both day and night real-time duration will increase by the same factor, in this case 1.5. Likewise each in-game hour will be 1.5 times longer.
The name probably should be read as "Day+Night Length" not "daily NightLength".

The other setting "DayLightLength" changes the relation between day and night. As it is in in-game hours it should never be set beyond 23 or below 1, no matter the platform.

Now, which of those settings did you change to what number on server and on client?

greetings, I've heard a good average time of 70 setting applied to the 24 hour cycle extends the day to be longer seems a semi-lengther time but not 80 24cycle which i heard can be redonkulious..lol , but may also increase the night as well.
60 -24day cycle seems almost like as soon as your out in about questing, it's already afternoon or later in afternoon / evening. Horde night comes pretty quick.
But the concern is that changing these settings on a PC dedicated server and having PC's connect to hem is no problem; as the whole thing is pretty malleable, but when i changed the land claim from the default to 60 block range (not a setting on xbox when you start a new game and go through the settings options, because their options goes from 51 to 71). when a xbox connected to my PC dedicated server hosted by one of those popular HostHavoc or pingperfect, etc; the xbox kicked back a message saying "non-standard game settings detected in this game." .. then it disconnected.

I also attached the screen shot.

So my concern is, if i attempt to change something, i'm trying to find a good inbetween of the settings.
70 (an extra 10 min) or something seems fairly reasonble, but xbox game version seems to be strict in some settings.

I was asking for details to make sure you really set up values that should be ok and not a value that was simply out of range. I wasn't asking for the why, I know why people would want more daylight hours.

Or did you just ask before actually trying out values you would have liked? In that case please test first, then complain.

more day light means more time to search / explore without having zombies running and potentially increasing in strength. also new players who have very little to nothing; can have more time to browse whatever POI's trying to take out a area without having night to make the zombies more challenging.
it's just nice during the day too, can see more. things are lite up and can see more. Most desire to explore in the day... this applies to real life a well as in-game.
