I apologize for not seeing that i hadn't included a version in my original post thought i had as i always play in the latest version be it stable or experimental
and if you had read it all you would have noticed i did include the version numbers in my 4th post so if anyone who supposedly read...
Again my question was and still is did something about the horde night change from version 1.0 to exp 1.1 ( just made it real obvious so even you can read it) which again you can not attest to. i never play 60 minute days except in the case of the last 5 hordes i had just forgot i had done that...
Actually my first 5 hordes in my 1.0 game were at 120 minutes the final 5 were at 60 minutes but anyways not a issue since i think the question asked has been answered
and not surprisingly it has to do with raising the max alive from the default to 16 which means more zombies alive during each...
Again you are cherry picking because as soon as i called out your inability to read it was no longer mentioned "Your numbers are way off. You can't reach GS571 by day 14 and by setting low numbers like 16 and 32 max alive it's pretty obviously you are going to need more time to exhaust hordes"...
Really guys did you NOT read the entire thread and just cherry pick so your statements are correct.
I have already said i had completed the day 70 horde in that world i went back in and used the console to set my day back to day 14 just to prove a point and you all jump in and all your numbers...
so found my own true answer to this went back into my 1.0 world after reverting back to 1.0 with the max zombie horde set to 32 and the day length set to 120 minutes
i killed 1500 zombies at game stage 571 on day 14 horde finished at 3:06 am
then went back to 1.1 and did another horde night on...
Again i am going off what joel said in the dev stream that they have changed horde night spawns so they last all night, Has something changed because as i stated
from day 7 to day 70 every horde lasted all night long in 1.0
but in 1.1 only the first horde night lasted the whole night that...
Ok so for all you who have stated that the hordes will not last until morning because of the coding is that new in exp 1.1.
Why did in my first playthrough of version 1.0 in the burnt biome from day 14 until day 75 i had every horde last until morning and just to enlighten you i was killing...
The only problem with that is it is prior to version 1.0 so when the blood moon hordes changed it is not reflected in the wiki as it was last updated on june 2nd
I knew that in previous alphas that you could kill the allotted zombies in an hour or two for the first couple of horde nights.
The reason i asked this question was that when i watched the dev streams for 1.0 they said that horde nights would last all night and i had thought this applied to all...
So as my title says i have a question about horde night spawns that someone with more knowledge about how spawns work can answer
so here is my "problem" i started a new world with the horde spawn count remaining at 7 and day 7 horde night went as expected with the horde lasting until dawn
then...
After a lot of searching around for the solution to my problem i found that in release 1.0 that the traders are hard coded in the rwgmixer file with the min set to 2 and the max set to 4 in each biome so if you have a biome that has 7 towns/cities like my latest wasteland biome you end up with 3...
8k map 25 towns/cities
10k map at least 21 towns/cities with maybe between 1/2 and 2/3rds of the map explored
another 8k map with 21 towns/cities but i cannot confirm the amount of traders on that map as i have not played it as yet i just took a ss when i created it and it was from the preview...
I guess what i am asking is was it intentional to reduce the amount of traders that are actually spawning on maps now
exp 1.0 i created a 8k map and got 18 traders
exp 1.1 i created a 10k map and got 19 traders
if you do the math 8k map works out to roughly 67 square km and a 10k map is...
