PC A case for 4K maps.

Think if they can make the networking handle more people/server load, then we would definately want bigger maps. I hope during the final stages the optimize everything and make a bigger server not a big deal. I like big maps because I will randomly roam and build outposts when 1 base is done.

PC 7 days to die alpha 39!!!!

Or don't get so wrapped up in it being alpha. Just play the game, and if it causes stress, quit playing and leave a review accordingly. Just my 2 cents. I have bought so many alpha games and some I play for an hour and then dismiss. Some have just enough mechanics that keep me checking.

PC Why my Steam Review is negative and is likely to remain so

Thats not the case for everyone. I have never watched a lets play video and I actively look at recent reviews before buying or even downloading a F2P game.

PC Why my Steam Review is negative and is likely to remain so

Not really. This is the negative side of "it's in alpha". Everyone wants to give that reason when the game has bugs, things aren't finished, etc. If you are going to allow those excuses for years, you also have to accept that people paid money for the game and will change their review if the...

PC One Should Form One's Own Opinion!

Of course!!! Really, you base it on where you are at when it all goes down. Schools would also be a great place to look.

PC One Should Form One's Own Opinion!

I have tried to play A17, but my main enjoyment from playing was trying to find books for auger, minibike, etc. The book hunts and random loot from zombies made it more enjoyable for me. Now it's just an XP grind to get the abilities you want, not a easter egg hunt. To me, the old books felt...

PC What are you playing right now?

A17 Vanilla, only because I haven't had time to start tweaking the XML's. The default is just too boring and requires more killing and takes away the freedom of being a building and looting player.

    PC Suggestion on Perks/Questions

What I think would be good is maybe the POI's be used as dungeons, where specific ones would have a feral and if you kill it then there is a much higher probability of getting specific things like high end recipes. Then killing a bunch of zombies doesn't feel quite like a chore, but more of a...

    PC Suggestion on Perks/Questions

Why did people feel it was needed to remove recipes you could find and put it into a perk system that is based on level? I am learning that may be the biggest killer for me on A17 that it is now level based, and the best way to level is kill zombies. I don't see a good way to say that killing...

PC Perks System and Level Gates

Am I the only one that liked books for the big jumps? To me it properly represented how it might be during a zombie apocalypse. You don't learn something from just killing, you learn books or doing. I like some aspects, like back pack encumbering you. Lots of plus and minuses, but the perks and...

PC My Replayability Issue w/ A17

This makes me sad. Haven't played experimental, but reading about level gating has me worried about how much my friends and I will play. The finding books, to me, seemed "realistic" for what waking up in the zombie apocalypse would be like. Most people don't just magically know how to do things...

    PC Developer Discussions: Alpha 17

I want to know this as well. I like that system and feels it adds more planning.

PC Which is the more important main feature of the game III

I voted water. I like the idea of having boats and needing to explore new, established places. If someone chooses not to dig, then they wont be missing anything. If you want a heavy water game, check your seed and play. If you hate water, check the seed and play. Pick your battle. Personally, I...
