Getting the hang of Alpha19 now, once I found a mod to put normal loot back in at least. However I have not seen a single military base since Alpha19 came out, I've done several play throughs now, and should surely have seen one by now, have they been removed in this alpha?

Odd, I find the crossbow awesome and kill greens with it all the time. 4+ points in archery are.mandatory to fix the reload time, but with steel bolts and mods, its great. You do need headshots though, I never aim anywhere else. I also have that perk so reloading doesn't slow your movement...

ok, i've managed now to find an iron seam, and a coal and lead seam. The iron seam is much browner and reasonably easy to see the lead seam was faintly blue/silvery, and reasonably easy to see. The coal seam was almost impossible to see, I had to just keep whacking rocks in the general area...

Forest biome? I've read elsewhere that snow or wasteland biomes are best, but I've found no seams at all, so I'll try both. Thanks. What about depth, are seams in the soil or that thick layer of rock before bedrock?

Yes nitrate. Caves are too rare. I do them when I find them. White chunks in soil? Or rock? Any particular biome best?

I must be doing something wrong, I've read the forums and people talk about finding gravel on the surface? is this the little patches of round ground near boulders? When I hit them with my pickaxe, I always get sand,rock and iron ore, nothing else. Also it's only ever 1 block deep. I've tried...

My bicycle dissapears every single time I logout of the game. Motorbike I've only made once, but it did the same. I just use the console to spawn a new bicycle, but I don't know how to do that with the motorbike :(

I'll add my voice to the chorus of agreement. I love the new graphics, the POI (mostly) and the vehicles. But as you said, nearly all the other changes are for the worse. I'm currently modding out most of the encumbrance, adding essential functionality to the UI (how are we STILL not shown...

Anyone else noticing that the swing with both iron bar and sledgehammer seems to quite often "miss" when it very definitely shouldn't have? I've noticed it more with A17 than in A16, but the latest release seems to be particularly bad. Worst seems to be construction workers, for some reason...

there are a couple of mods to remove the weird squealing on power attacking. I use one for the same reason (mining) and it's fine. Check the mod section of the forum

OK, so I've just reset all keybindings to defaults, and now I can strafe normally. so hooray, it's a bug not a nerf. Please can you fix the keybindings so that it saves changes past a reload? And please can you fix the keybindings so changing the defaults doesn't break strafing? Thank you.

I've rebound some of the keys for the vehicles, every time I load up the game, they go back to the default settings, and I have to rebind them. Known issue? Possibly related - I can't get the headlights on the motorcycle to work? The light on my mining helmet works fine. I've tried binding them...

interesting, maybe i'm bugged then, although it's in every game, and all versions of a17 so far. When I try and strafe sideways, i take 1 step and stop, i have to keep pressing, 1 step each time. I did rebind my keys, which I do for every game, I'll try going back to the default ones and see...
