My buddy builds out bases near a trader/ore deposit then caps the top of the ore so he can mine in peace. Although the other day we were underground mining lead and we got the Seek Shelter Now! warning even though we were fully underground.

This. I had to use 3 smoothies to find all my spitters, iron arrow to the face, rush in and stab with my knife, bonus if they spit because my knife kills the bees that come out.

One of the reasons I always have a melee weapon on my bar and stones, wood and feathers from gathering eggs. I'm almost never out of stone arrows if I need ammo.

I thought Lathan got the same message when he initiated the snow storm for the dev video, and he entered a POI to stop it, I'll test it, I've got some wasteland next door to my base.

Just drop down some wood blocks and make a small hut. Then expand into the 2nd biome? You always have wood and/or builder blocks with you, right? Right??

But then the game would be OP and we'd all die when he showed up.

I'll ask my buddy that's running the server and see, I just did the Film Fanatic's house in 2.0 and at least 2 of the key racks worked just fine in there. On that note though I had a freaking mutant Z on day 2! He came up from the fanatic's basement and took me down to half health and infected me.

So I've tried to search a few different ways and haven't seen if this has been addressed or not. I know it might be a mod interfering, but I don't think so as we don't have mods that interface with the blocks or doors. But when I'm in a POI whether it's for loot or doing a mission sometimes...

I almost always keep a stone axe on my bar, for ease of repair, and to just to break stuff for polymers, wood, stone and small amounts of metal. If I'm going through the door I'll use my steel pickaxe if I'm at that level or just go around it.

I watched my buddy with almost as much time as me get mauled by a dire wolf because he went in noisy while I go in stealthed... I giggled as his health dropped and he limped out with a broken leg. The game mechanics will even eat veteran players if they don't pay attention, and even with 5k in...

I would love to be able to make the glass sliding doors, especially out of bullet proof glass.

When my friends and I play we have a buddy that hosts the server on a dedicated server rack, so it runs all the time unless nobody is on so we can coordinate for the blood moons.
