Sometimes it goes like that. I've had a game where I found it in day one (in a rubbish bag of all places), others where it's been past day 50. All I can suggest is keep looking, or try the traders.
I've known people report this before and they got the ground to drop by placing frames on top, overloading it. While it might work for you, explosives might be better - certainly more fun.
It would, but until they sort everything out, they won't be able to do so. All that's been said is that the update will happen and a significant amount of work has been done on it already. We just have to be patient.
The console version will always be behind the PC version; that's always been the case and is only to be expected since they develop it over there and port to console once they are happy with it (and if the console can handle it). As for the update, that depends on how long it takes to sort out...
