After TFP reached to him:
  • It was too hard for him to edit/cut the video with the unauthorized content
  • It was too costly for him to edit/cut/remove the video with the unauthorized content
  • After replying "how much will you reimburse me for removing the video?" he had to lawyer-up
  • Now that he's lawyered-up he's using his community to win the trial in the public court
  • In the meantime he's still earning money and visibility from all this mess while TFP took a PR hit

thats your perception?
reality he gave alot of people hope, showd something off tfp should have done themselves. He gave tfp credibility that they are actually working on bandits.
To me he done alot more good than harm, the fault is the stupidity of the people who couldnt see that.

I agree that they should've paid him...but not to be "fair" to him (because let's face it, the vast majority of the views he gets are not because of him), but to prevent the ■■■■ storm of parasocial, reddit-brained nutjobs, that tend to jump to extremes with things like "Or would he be the devil anyway", from hurting their business.

They should've offered him $1500. $100 for the "editing" and the rest for potential lost revenue.

"Peculiar"? No. Someone's going to be Frist!. Either by discipline and work ethic, or by being a lazy bum streamer with no life other than to sit there refreshing Steam; pick whichever you think fits the muppet.
Others received the wrong version, their situations resolved differently. Whoop-de-doo. I don't to pretend to be a subject matter expert, so you need to find how many just straight up threw away their efforts, instead of asking for some recognition.

Stop implying nonsense by asking stupid questions; you're not clever enough to get away with it. Nor are you actually listening for any answers. Say what you mean, it's all opinions at this point anyway.

Sounds reasonable to me; cost of doing business. I might've offered 500 and 5 keys to give-away (worth what, 200, costs TFP about 5).

Otherwise we would have had similar cases between TFP and other streamers, right?

You're still denying that he's the ONLY one who had this issue among hundreds of streamers.

You're starting to resort to insults because apparently you can't answer my question, or better yet, you're implying that he wasn't the only one having the issue of receiving and playing with the wrong version, but we both know that's not true.
 
I've been monitoring Youtube for videos from other content creators regarding TFP v. Josh. "Just Rob" has come out as also having received the wrong build, and that "everybody" (not really defined) had access to it before it was pulled:
He has no proof though.

It's also a pretty good, relatively balanced breakdown of what's happened, with an explanation of both sides, Fair Use, and Transformative Content.

No dear, it's not an insult, it's advice; you're not clever enough to get away with vagueposting, and I cba steelmanning your claims. If you make an honest claim, it'll start something like "I find it highly unlikely..." ... I won't make your claims for ya though.

"To receive the wrong version?" No he wasn't.
"To make content out of the wrong version." We don't know that.
"To publish content out of that." Perhaps; I know of no others, but I can't say that for sure either.
"To get into a disagreement with TFP over it." As far as we know; yes.
"To get DMCA'd over it" We'd prolly heard if others have, but even that is just a chance.

See why I don't bother with vague nonsense? It takes craptons of time to type out your potential arguments, and then you'll just go "whaaa, not what I'm talking about" anyway.

Make a claim, we can discuss that. Stop vagueposting if you want to discuss with me. I don't know why you'd want to discuss with a gremlin thou?
