PS PS5 forced 3.1.0 install to start

FYI: I am on PS5, just paused the automatic download, started the game, choose the "start without update", paused the restarted download again and just continued playing. It works.

This is also unrelated to your feelings about the PS4 version, altough I would have shared that feeling if I owned the PS4 version. The real issue here is poor communication between all platforms and TFP.

No, i had no choice to make, i know what you mean, but start without update didn't appear. Start wasnt possible without refresh. Maybe bcs i download and install updates automatically in sleep mode. The moment in which ive seen the message the update already had been installed i think

If you are already on b13 then don't expect to be able to port your savegame back to earlier build. So I gues the fix is just wait till everyone is on that build.

Yeah it updated without me even noticing on ps5 so our save game is now b13. Hate to lose all our progress again. Any idea how long until the build matches and we can use our game?

Since the latest update, our previously working dedicated server is no longer visible on PS5, even though the server has also been updated to the latest version.


Additionally, PS5 players can no longer see each other online, making it impossible to join multiplayer games.


As a result, online play on PS5 is currently not possible.


This issue started immediately after the latest update.

And no, there is no error Message.

Plenty of reports on this in Support. Sony apparently released 3.1.0 early for some reason which nuked everything.

TFP posted that all versions are now updated to Stable, though XBox servers are having problems and they'll have to wait for MS to fix their server problems. Make sure you update the servers to the latest version (3.1).

It's stable for everyone now, so you should be able to play with others. If you use a server, it has to be updated to 3.1. Everyone playing also needs to be on the latest version for crossplay.

My husband is able to play version 3.1.0(b13) just fine

Thank you for the info! My son lives out of state and he said he logged on and didn’t see a new update or anything to download to fix it . We are on 3.1 bc of automatic update on PS5 it did it before we knew there was an issue. But if I’m understanding what you’re saying is it may be fixed bc they did it on their end and won’t be another download to the ps5? Thanks for your info!!!
