This is it. I think many people, myself included, expected them to finally act in our favor, especially after some devs spoke so openly about it when it happened. That's why, apart from a portion of this forum and a few paid or unpaid die-hard supporters, there's so much negativity toward them.

No, this will never get before a judge. They will settle or one of them will simply give in. We will never get a legal verdict on this.

You are right, I was sloppy saying the code had been disclosed. It is the result of the code JaWoodle disclosed, and then refused to remove resulting in TFP deciding to take action.

"Act in our favor"? Who are we in this sentence? I certainly don't have any skin in the game. As far as I am concerned, this is between a youtuber who refused to not disclose proprietary content he had received and the owner of that content. TFP hasn't treated me badly at any point in time. Just the notion that they could treat me badly is ridiculous.

I have zero understanding of people who claim TFP has done anything to them by not developing a game the way they want. Gamers feel entitlement because they ave played 1,000 hours or so, because the game in is development, and because the developers have asked for opinions. Instead of just playing games they enjoy and leaving it at that, they behave as if this somehow matters to them and their lives, causing all kinds of drama and conflicts. It's just a ■■■■ing computer game. I miss the days when kids would buy a game and play it and then move on. Now people with minority opinions can meet likeminded in echo chambers on the Internet to discuss and magnify their minor grievances and complaints, rally behind their youtuber heroes who have monetized gaming like soldiers behind a general, and organize campaigns to try to hurt game developers who they feel have done something against them. Fans are the worst.

I would also get emotional about things you just wrote except we are talking about the devs that just tried to blame us for delaying bandits and did tons things like this for the entire development process. I understand what you mean but company you try to decribe there is not TFP.

This makes no sense. They simply stated that due to adding all the changes people wanted the bandit update would take longer to release. It's common sense.

The tons of things you must be referring to is listening to the player base and making a genuine effort to appease a jaded community who missed old school 7D2D.

I myself appreciate the fact they have listened and made changes as it shows they care about what the community thinks.

I would point out I don't see a criminal angle here. The Creator Program would be contract law, copyright is civil law, and any NDA dispute would be civil law unless the "US Economic Espionage Act" were somehow involved. Copyright claims don't need a contract.

Show me where they blamed you. Give me the direct quote. You probably heard that from someone like Rob and went with his narrative.

It's not rocket science. If they work on the changes then don't get mad at them if bandits are delayed. If you think they are bad developers then fine stop playing and go play something else.

Very possible. But that doesn't change the fact they are listening now. If you continue to blame them for everything and give them no credit then there is no incentive for them to listen to anyone and it doesn't pay off. People will just whine and cry regardless. Easier to just ignore them and move on.

just to remind you....the 2.0 "■■■■ storm" that led TFP to the conclusion that they would do the Sandbox Update...was caused by them NOT LISTENING FOR YEARS. It was only after the review bomb that they LISTENED

At the moment, they are listening and doing a decent enough job that I feel warrants praise.
