What work, he plays the game for an hour (Ohno hard job) and edits for an hour or two (barely edited videos btw). If he actually cares as much about his reputation as he said he does he could've put an afternoon of work and got it all solved. And now with this 20min whining video he already got 4x his usual views making him back the money he would've lost + more attention to his channel. I've been watching him for years but he's starting to get insufferable the more followers he gets.

Also whenever he finds an exploit, instead of just reporting it within their group he makes a video on it to get some quick cash while it lasts. That alone makes him seem like some vulture looking for opportunities. He most likely saw the bandits as a quick opportunity as well.

Of course having to delete or edit the video would affect how much he would earn from it. If you are getting a cease and desist letter from a party's lawyer to stop selling copyrighted content, your future revenue stream from selling this copyrighted material would stop, too. That's simply how the world works. TFP owns the proprietary code that JaWoodle publicly disclosed and monetized through his video. He didn't own all the content of the video, hence he is not legally allowed to earn money from it. He is basically infringing on other's IP. He should just be happy he was able to earn some money from it before he was asked to stop.

In fairness, if it turns out JaWoodle spent more money making the video then he earned from it before it was taken down, then TFP could have offered to cover that balance. After all, they made the mistake to begin with and he might not have realized he shouldn't have made it public. I think that would be a nice diplomatic gesture. Then JaWoodle wouldn't suffer financially from the whole thing. But as it is, I would be surprised if he hasn't actually benefitted financially, both from the video itself before it was taken down and now from follow-up videos. Heck, I wouldn't even be surprised if he has people paying him directly to get exclusive content of watching him play computer games

In my career, if a company asks for a service and then wants to change it "midway" through or after the fact, it's a change order and they have to pay for the correction. It's no different here. TFP just didn't want to work with JaWoodle in the least bit. They wanted their mistake erased and didn't want to pay proper compensation for Ja's time and effort put in and the "potential" loss of revenue from the corrections. TFP ruined the relationship not JaWoodle. He attempted to come to am agreement, they refused because they knew they could just bully him into removing or having the videos removed themselves through DMCA. TFP are the bad guys here and didn't operate in good faith?

I'm pretty sure he has paid editors, he already paid them and now he can't recoup the money. Calling a video of him discussing a company acting in bad faith a "whining video" is rich. He didn't plan on making this public, until TFP made it public and made disengenuos comments. He has a right to defend himself. His whole channel is about the game, he reports on new features/bugs, yes he is always looking for content because it's his job. Doesn't change the fact this was TFP's mistake

Infringing on their IP is exactly what he did when he refused to edit or remove the video. Because the video contained their intellectual property and he had been told he was not allowed to publicly share it.

People seem to think that because TFP sent the IP to him, he is allowed to do whatever he wants with it, Like, "Haha, now it is mine!". No, that's not how it works. If a record label sent me unreleased Rolling Stones songs by mistake, those songs would not be mine to do whatever with. In fact, it would be illegal for me to share them with others. And there's plenty of legal precedence here.

The problem comes when he is told the video contains their proprietary information and is explicitly asked to either edit or remove the video. The only change is that TFP made a mistake and expected JaWoodle to shoulder the cost. I would almost argue TFP did this on purpose, because of what you mentioned above, but I won't because there is no proof. Kinda the same as you have zero proof he did this knowing that it was incorrect. He was sent a build to play and record, he did exactly that. No he was told/expected to share it publicly, that's the whole relationship here. The issue is they changed it after the fact, and decided to not make an attempt to reach a fair agreement between the 2 affected parties. A perfectly reasonable rebuttal from TFP could have been, "We would be happy to discuss compensation for lost capital/revenue, but we need the videos to be delisted while these discussions take place." That didn't happen, they didn't want to fix their mistake, they wanted to obliterate it. By doing so acted in bad faith.

This was TFP's mistake to bear not JaWoodle 's. This is his job he and he should have to lose revenue because they decided to rug pull his content they knew he would produce from the build they sent. You think they're sitting in their office, rubbing their hands together trying to think of how to screw creators over? Grow up. Had Woodle not chased money and clickbaited the ■■■■ out of features he knew weren't even in the update he was meant to be covering none of this would've happened. If Woodle had just complied and took an hour to edit his content, none of this would have happened. Hell, videos like that likely make the vast majority of their money in the first couple days, so even if he completely took it down it had already made him about as much money as it was going to make. And if he just edited it and left it up it could have continued making money, maybe even more as once people knew he had to edit it they would have went and watched it.

Keep simping for Woodle all you want, but he ■■■■ed up and is paying for it. No amount of defending him here is gonna change that.

With The Fun Pimps actively going JaWoodle for "releasing early access content" too early, how can this game be considered "Full Release". Internally (shown through emails they have sent to JaWoodle) they reference Early Access content. So if they are calling parts of the game Early Access how is it they are able to state the game is "Full Release" or finished?

Wish Steam had an option to report games for falsely releasing a game into Full Release for the purpose of removing the Early Access tag.

You are confusing two definitions of “Early Access”. One definition is a program offered by Steam for developers to sell their unfinished game while it is being developed. The title of that program is “Early Access”. The definition of early access is any limited access to unreleased content that a developer offers to individuals before it is released publicly.

For Valve’s program, only unfinished games are allowed to be entered by developers. Developers can opt to leave that program whenever they wish and TFP left the program.

Going forward TFP has more unreleased content that they plan to add and they plan to give certain individuals access to that content early—before the general public can access it. In a way, now that the game exists on consoles, the experimental builds can be thought of as a type of early access because it isn’t able to be accessed by everyone— only those who play via Steam.

So they weren’t lying when they referred to unreleased content being sent to streamers before public release as being early access to that content.
