PC Turrets

Last blood moon was difficult. I had a pair of shotgun auto turrets set, powered, loaded with AP slugs, and while they were tracking targets, they weren't firing. Do shotgun turrets only use buckshot shells? Also, if I add SMG turrets, will those only take standard 9mm, or can I use HiPower/AP?

Heh. Yeah, locking the ammo is required. Just like theFlu, I have no idea why. As far as the turrets and ammo go, they used to only take normal ammo, but they changed them to take all ammo because of their changes to what ammo you could find in loot.
Yeah, I ran into the same issue when starting. I too justified it to myself as the devs supporting players by making them learn to lock ammo so as to ensure users don't get their ammo stolen but in reality, the act of loading the ammo to begin with should assume the lock when the inventory transfer window closes. Maybe another one of those things where they build in some seemingly obscure process to cover for a performance flaw or bug. All said, once you know to do it, it's not hard to follow through each time.

Well, that was a lot of fun. Zombies stopped attacking the left forcefield and started attacking the walls I put up flanking my bridge. That's fine, it's what they're there for...for awhile, anyway. They did get underneath the wall in a couple of places so I'm going to have to figure out a way to stop them from doing that.

I think I'm going to try to craft a slide on those two blocks so they get tricked into thinking it's a block, but it sends them sliding. Trying to figure out how to do that...

Also, do my turrets give me XP if they kill zombies?

Zombies you say? W-w-what zombies? All I hear is gun shots and screams.
I use very little in the way of traps these days. Once in a while I'll do something with a lot of traps, but mostly I have only a few and most killing is done by me or the person I play the game with. It's a lot more fun to me than letting traps kill everything. And I also find it fun to be in a weak POI with no real improvements made to it beyond knocking out some stairs or adding ladders or an escape route and then fighting and letting it crumble under me during the horde night. Did that the last 2 horde nights in the same POI... didn't even improve it or fix it after the first horde night when half of it had collapsed. Lots of fun and now I have a barn next to my base that is mostly not there anymore. :D

I play solo because I have no friends :( . I also don't use traps in general, my horde base directs everything towards me to get smashed by my baton.
