I'm having some trouble getting the "Undead Legacy" (UL) mod to work. In the past, I've set up the “Darkness Falls” mod and the instructions for both mods are almost exactly the same; however, Darkness Falls works with version 1.4 of 7D2D. Version 1.4 has a "mods" folder, and all you basically have to do is remove the original 7 days to die mods folder and replace it with the darkness falls mods folder. FYI, I make a copy of the original 7 days to die files (and folders) and place them in a brand new folder on my desktop—then I delete the original 7 days to die mods folder and replace it with the darkness falls mods folder. This method preserves the original 7D2D files and prevents them from being corrupted. This is the only method that I'm willing to use.
For Undead Legacy, you must use version 20.7 of the game. Version 20.7 DOES NOT have a mods folder. However, the instructions for Undead Legacy state that all you have to do is copy all of the UL files (and folders) and paste them into the 7 days to die folder. I did that and it does not work.
I looked into the mods folder for Undead Legacy and it did not have a Harmony folder in it, which is an original 7 days to die folder with files in it that allows modders to make changes to the game. I believe that folder is necessary when you're using a mod. So, I added the harmony folder to UL's mods folder and it still didn't work.
Long story short, I tried several other modifications and couldn't get it to work. Thus, my request here for assistance.
Also, the error message that I get when I try to launch the UL mod is this: “Could not fully initialize Steam.” AND… “The Steam client is not running or no connection possible.” However, please be aware that I DO have the vanilla game of 7D2D set at version 20.7 on Steam, EAC is off, and I have Steam running in the background when I try to run the mod.
FYI, I’m using Linux Mint (not Windows), but the instructions are the same—as far as i know. It worked with Darkness Falls.
FYI, I’m posting a screenshot of the original 7 days to die files for both versions mentioned above, as a reference (in the links below). Both files are located in my “artwork” section in Steam:
For Version 1.4:

For Version 20.7:

Thank you, in advance, if you're able to provide any assistance!
