It might not "install" them, but 7D2D is communicating with Discord. The game doesn't install Discord or Twitch. So there's not bloatware to delete. If you want to unlink your Discord account from the game, it's in the Audio options. Twitch isn't used unless you're on Twitch, though they did add the option to enable some of the Twitch "features" like big heads in the game options. But all settings for both are in your options.
Neither should give you errors even if used, though. If they do, you can post a bug report with the errors and preferably your log so someone can see what is causing the errors.
It uses Discord for all chat in the game now, so it's unlikely you can avoid that other than to use older versions of the game.It might not "install" them, but 7D2D is communicating with Discord.
I have never had a Discord account, had any reason to do business with them, nor wanted them to have any of my information.
I'd like to delete the "ADDED" software without disrupting the function of the game.
We offered solutions and even pointed out that since they stated they don't have a Discord account, nothing is being logged/communicated even if they have the option enabled in game. The intention is to ease OP's mind, not lecture them.I honestly don't know why you people are telling him oh don't worry about it. i feel exactly the same way as OP for similar reasons.
telling somoene "its not installed" or "all in game chat uses it" or "theres no communication occuring" is disingenous at best and outright false at worst.
the OP feels the need, he didn't come here for a lecture.
@TYR: there are dll's in the game folder that may be responsible for the bloat you have observed.
some of them you can safely rename thereby bypassing them from being loaded in game.
the ramifications of doing this vary for each one, YMMV
your favorite AI can help you with this.
even if you screw something up in attempting to do this, all you have to do is verify the game files in steam and it will be fixed, so no risk at all.
i would not recommend doing this in a savegame/playthrough you wish to continue, because as i said renaming SOME of them WILL cause issues while SOME CAN be safely reanmed without any consequences.
