I started working on more sections of my Dying Light inspired build adding the canals. Yes it will be released at some point in the future.

These buildings are truly beautiful. I wrote a mod that unlocks the non-functional blocks that were hidden by the developers, and players on my server are currently building a lot of them. They've unleashed their imaginations; it's truly breathtaking.

Some time ago I wrote in the Pimp Dreams something about how I'd like parkour added to the game in a was similar to the Dying Light series.
The idea was to make some parts of some blocks "grabbable" and then use them inside POIs.

Your graphical rendition made me think that would be possible.

That would be so cool, I remember some scenes where you're running from volatiles or something at night time. Imagine that in 7 days to die, trying to get away from the blood moon horde with parkour in a city, and maybe feral zombies can also jump/climb after you
