You devs suck and just make the game worse with every update...

But you have to admit that they disengaged around then for a period of time. I'm not slamming them for it, heck maybe I would have done the same thing if I made bank like they did. They took a vacay, whatever, but it changed them, and the game fundamentally from a sandbox to an rpg.

The game changed from a sandbox to an rpg because the devs took a vacation....?

A) They never took a vacation or stopped development. They never turned the game over to different people who had a new vision.
B) The RPG elements added to the game were Kickstarter goals listed before the game even came to Steam.

There has never been a period of nothing being worked on and there was no event where suddenly the game went into a new direction. The RPG aspects of the game grew gradually more prominent beginning in A11 and continuing to today.

Because they took a vacay? No.
RPG elements were never in the game trailers I saw when I bought it and played it, or the steam page. I guess I was supposed to go research their old Kickstarter page to get the real scoop?

This whole modern mentality of having to either praise it or get out is tiring. I'm allowed to dislike it if I want. Spare me, please.

That cuts both ways, the mentality of having to either flame it or get out is tiring, and in the online world put forward significantly more often.

Neither extreme provides an opportunity for reasoned discussion.

Certainly, we are all allowed to have and express our opinions. The issue is not having one, its when players present their opinion as a self evident truth, without allowing room to explain, discuss, or examine it. That's not discussion, its just noise.

Certainly I agree with all you said. Are you thinking that I'm saying you should get out if you like the game? Because what happens is when I am critical, people tell me that my opinion is invalid. I don't find all the positive posts and tell them that they shouldn't have their own opinion.

Doing research is never a bad thing. I don’t know when you bought the game but RPG elements began being implemented with Alpha 11. In not saying you should have known. I’m just stating the fact that it wasn’t a sudden shift out of nowhere.

Many players fully expected and looked forward to it.
