Malicious Ban Without Evidence on NA Server

Attention all regular players on North American servers!
This server maliciously targets vulnerable players.
Just because of players' high ping, no issues were detected, no evidence was found, yet they convict people solely on suspicion.
They impose punishments arbitrarily without communicating with players, maliciously abusing their power!
They show absolutely no respect for players at all!

All servers are privately run by people other than TFP and can use whatever rules they choose and ban whomever they choose, whether "right" or "wrong". Try a different server.

It's inappropriate for you to post here because the server is privately operated. TFP doesn't have the authority to intervene in this kind of matter.

Why is it inappropriate? Sharing real experiences is itself part of community information.

I have already spent nearly two weeks on this server.
For a new player, this is not just casual gameplay—it is a real investment of time.

If players are restricted from joining just because of high latency, without clear evidence, then this kind of handling is unfair to players. Network latency is often caused by objective factors and should not automatically be treated as misconduct.

My purpose in posting is not to ask the official team to intervene in a private server, but to let other players know about this situation so they can avoid investing time and encountering similar issues.

Thanks，I will definitely play on other servers. I understand your advice to switch servers, but just because I’m leaving doesn’t mean this issue should be swept under the rug. Their practice of punishing players without any evidence will only hurt more people if it’s not exposed. I will move to another server, but I need to leave this information here.
I’m leaving this toxic place, but that doesn’t mean I’m covering up their misconduct. Exposing this is to prevent other players from getting screwed over. This isn’t meddling—it’s a warning for everyone.
 
While it would be a good service to be warned about bad actors, other bad actors could do the same with good servers and just spread false information, and there are also often cases where misunderstandings or misinterpretations lead to disputes.

Without someone checking the information this would hurt the good as well as the bad servers. TFP or the moderators can't do the checking so there is a rule against posting this here.

there is nothing anyone on the forums can do about this though. this is like you explaining how your roommate drinks all the milk and so you are standing in the isle of aldi nord and telling the other customers that they need to be warned the roommate is doing this

I would think it is more like explaining how your roommate drinks all the milk so you are in the lobby of your apartment building telling all the other tenants that they need to be warned the roommate is doing this as it would be possible the roommate could come in contact with them and try to work it out so that he could room with them. (because you are out of milk) :D

The good thing about this reasonable public forum is that anyone with a genuine interest in this game can read and respond to anything here. If your interest is more serious (like hosting a server) and you ignore to defend your interest here it is your own fault. The moment it turns out to be pure slander any moderator can delete this thread after a complaint.

Just the idea alone that we can find information here is assuring that we can trust most servers that are not flaged here. I think that the benefits are far greater than the damage in the rare occasion a server owner is not aware of the existence of this forum and the game (and so TFP) will mostly benefit.
 
We understand your frustration with an “unfair” server and your desire to warn others about it. The thing is, there’s no investigative arm here to hand this off to. Our oversight covers the forum only. Without the infrastructure to verify fact versus rumor, it wouldn’t be responsible to allow public accusations to stand. So I’ve de-identified the particular server, and we’ll close this thread under our Naming & Shaming rule.

C8. Naming & Shaming​

Content that advances damage to a person or server's reputation in the community, for instance by alleging griefing, cheating, admin abuse, server bans, or other offenses.
Allegations like these aren't fair unless proven true, but the staff are unable to investigate what did or didn't happen outside the forum.
