What are your thoughts on Feral Sense?

i always leave it on but i also have zombies always set to walk so it evens out. i will say though it is absolute donkey bits trying to go through the wasteland sometimes. i usually find out a bear is nearby about .005 seconds before it hits me :/
Sorry, but I just now took a look at your Icon, lol.
Murky Water indeed.

Mt Dew is my favorite pop.

Never understood what it was supposed to be/represent, and not sure what it does, so cannot say if I would like playing with it. Because of that, never have.
It increases the zombies awareness radius by like 2.5x? I think. It's a pretty huge increase. They will see you from really far away now. I think it's like 70 (or maybe 75?) blocks away they'll see you from with feral sense on.

Are there any other effects, like speed?

Negative. All it does is significantly increase how far away zombies will notice you. This includes sights and sounds you make (and anything else). It makes it very difficult to be sneaky at all, especially outside. You can still get sneak shots on sleeping zombies inside POIs, but that's more difficult as well.

If you're ever bored, and just want to try something really zany: start a new map/world, put difficulty to Insane, zombie run speed to Nightmare (for all zombies, any time, day or night), and Feral Sense on. It's a pretty huge accomplishment just to make it to the trader (without dying), unless you get super lucky and spawn like 100m from the trader or something.

It's a good challenge, but for the more general audience I'd recommend sticking to a lower difficulty, max speed + senses will give any casual plenty to do even on warrior :)
