I would use the workbench tbh. The saw table was used only for deco and block shapes.

I would never be opposed to new decor for the based game..some mods offer some that I want but I don't like my base being clean I like that hoodrat, back woods farmer homestead

It can be used not only for decor, but for example in processing wood materials and etc

I do love the fact that dew collectors require jars in order to produce water. That's not the issue, I have other issues.

I don't. It shouldn't require jars to produce water. It should require jars to collect water out of the barrel, so that the design makes some sense. If we add the filter tool, then we can drink directly from it. Make it work like other water sources in the game. I hope someone makes a mod for this, it's probably beyond my abilities.

If it would regain that purpose alone at higher speed than the workbench and with a smaller footprint in my base I would absolutly prefer it over the workbench.

I mean we dont need a saw table for it. Maybe as a mod to put with your workstation to increase crafting speed but we are getting that soon made a video on the item codem forget the name of the item

But there's something, a vice and a reloading press coming at some point

But it was awful, because you'd have to have it to make some shapes, and if you wanted to use them to build your base but didn't have a table saw yet, you couldn't.

I much prefer being able to use whatever shape I want whenever I want. Maybe if it made somehow "better" shapes it might be worth having back.

I did not mean instead of current system, I ment in adition to it. Just like in the current system you can craft some items in inventory as well as in workstations.
