Prefab to RWG?

One thing I have noticed is that the wiring present in my original POI did not come through in the export to prefab. Is this a known thing?

Yes, wiring/electrical things don't get exported with a POI.

And even if I add wiring back in at the prefab stage, it does not survive RWG placing the POI in the world. Disappointing.

Correct. Prefabs don't have electricity and player blocks can cause problems. You don't want turrets, player workstations, player lights, etc.
