Zombies passing through objects and underground

Since the change to AI behavior (emerging from, attacking lowest block relative to ground level), I've been seeing all kinds of weirdness: zombies teleporting through barriers, e.g. closed doors, but especially falling beneath ground level when knocked down and partially re-emerging in order to swim or wade their way through the dirt and floor tiles to get to you with only their heads and torsos showing.

This isn't throwing a warning or error, afik, so I've no idea how to report it in a way that will help track the issue down.

I can't be the only one seeing this.
 
There's a lot of weird zombie behavior now. Sliding through floors like a Gumby character, breaking and spraining legs while attacking your torso, etc.

Keep in mind they spent time fixing that last one several years ago, only to purposely put it back into the game in 2.0.

I don't think it was purposefully, but -- yep -- that's another good example. I was seeing perfectly logical behaviors before that change and none of this weirdness.

It kinda feels it was, since they made it so zombies now target lower blocks on walls instead of torso-height blocks, if they're trying to get into a room where players are.
