No, there is no game option to reset Steam achievements. Can steam achievements for 7 Days to Die be safely reset?
If so, is there an option for it in the game?
If not, are there any plans to add this feature?
Thanks for the quick answer, my concern is some online have said it can break achievments by trying, whereby they relock and then no longer work. I had thought it might be fun to start from scratch, but from what I've read I would have to make a new steam account and transfer the game to that one, which I really don't want to do. Guess I'll have to wait and see if they fix it later on before I try it.No, there is no game option to reset Steam achievements.
Based on a quick Google search, you can reset achievements for any game by running the command steam://open/console from your Start menu and then typing reset_all_stats <app_id>, replacing <app_id> with the game's App ID. You can find a game's App ID on SteamDB.
Yeah, I've never tried it so can't say if there is any problem with it. I would think the only time you'd have an issue is if the game tracked your achievements directly and didn't reset them locally and so didn't send them to Steam. I don't know if this game does that. I would think that if you do a full cleaning of the game files from the launcher so you are starting from a clean slate that you'd be fine, but I can't promise that. However, there is always the option of marking achievements as complete using one of the Steam Cheat apps if they didn't get unlocked by playing the game, so it should never be completely locked up. I have used one of those apps once for another game that failed to unlock a rare achievement due to a game crash and I didn't want to spend time trying to unlock it again when I knew I had completed it. I didn't have any issues with that and other achievements unlocked fine from the game afterwards. Thanks for the quick answer, my concern is some online have said it can break achievments by trying, whereby they relock and then no longer work. Yeah, I know that I'll never unlock some of the friend achievements myself because my 3 friends who used to play a lot with me quit paying permanently.Yeah, I've never tried it so can't say if there is any problem with it.
