How far have you gone this playthrough?

For what I read on forums I might be the only one who stays in game so long. I mainly stay in so long so I can build a a cool base. I also have to admit I have a lot of time on my hands, as others may not.

This playthrough:

Game Version 1.4
24 Hour Cycle: 120 minutes
Day 202
level 250

Any one else?

I play on 2 hours days as well, and I think the farthest I've ever gotten is around day 50. I too make great big fancy bases, but at the point when nothing is a challenge any longer, I generally stop playing.

I did hit level 200 once in 16.4, when 200 was the max level, but I don't think I've even caught a glimpse of 150 in recent times.

EDIT: This makes no sense as it refers to a now-deleted post.. oh well.

Heh, that's taking a bit of a techno-buddhist attitude? It's been about 4 decades since my last respawn, but I don't think "this playthrough" is intended to refer to that :P

Been in and out of the hospital since new years, but current game, started Jan 1st...

V2.4
Day = 120 minutes
level 137.

Day 34, Just found Hogzilla, got my farming building up to 420 farm plots, got level 6 armor (though have not crafted it yet).

I think the longest I've played a run was 50-ish days. Can't remember what level I was.

The server I have with friends is at 52, but I'm not always on.

How did you get to level 137 on day 34? I just found Bobs Boars too a couple of days ago, if that's what you meant by Hogzilla. I play on a 13K map and explored 2 massive mega cities and did not think I will ever find a Bobs Boars. But I was out wrenching cars in a new smaller city on about day 197 and there it was. Plenty of super corn now for Recog!

i tend to get bored with a playthru when i think i have solved the main survival issues, and back it up with a successful blood moon
yesterday i made it thru blood moon #1 with crucible (solves water and steel) and wrench, pistol, recipe for hunter rifle. pipe rifle was actually fun in the blood moon. 1 head shot one dead.
specialising in salvage ops, rifles, agility and perception. cash is easy from mental high resource gathering, agility pistol rocks as main assault, rifle and penetrator is truly op. food solved by cash.
all i have to do now is not be stupid and i will smash the game. although tbh i am often stupid...
7 hours in and thinking about next run.

all default settings except loot respawn turned off. 24 hrs = 1 real life hr
dead is dead

I use the 300% XP setting, so 137/3 or 137/4.], so however that works out. I don't know if it's 300% total XP, or +300% XP. so like 46th level normally, or 39th level.

I play on the same randomly generated map each game, so in the many playthroughs I have already done using this map, I learn many locations by heart, and keep an idea on where many other PoI's are.

I play dead is game over (rather then dead is dead setting, I'm to chicken), and I don't want to spend forever on any single playthrough, but I play to 300th level, and then start over.

I've been admitted twice since Jan 1st, first time I walked the 3 mile walk home, but went the wrong way, and it ended up being about 4.5 miles. Last time I got a ride.

On a side note, does anybody know why a hospital would try to keep a patient from walking when dosed up on lasix? They had me on 80mg 2/day, and after they stopped trying to give me blood pressure lowering medicines (I got a 88/?? reading once, that didn't make it into my chart), but other than that, I was up and walking laps around the floor.

Does walking not help the body to make use of the medicines?

I play until I get bored. That's generally around day 40 with 2 hour days. Level doesn't have anything to do with it since level has little meaning in the game other than perks.

My mom was on lasix for a very long time. The walking she did was mainly to the bathroom every hour or so, barely making it sometimes.. I do not think she was kept from walking at all, unless maybe the fluid retention in her legs made it too hard to walk.

I think activity would help medication work into your system faster, rather than not doing anything at all. But I really do not know.

Usually around day 50-60 on 60min days with 100% XP just to see if my horde base can deal with demos as you can easily be OP before they start to show up. Just did one playthrough with V2 though. Can´t be bothered to try again until they finally finish the game and someone made a good LBD mod (hopefully Khaine with a stand alone DF LBD mod, the existing ones aren´t good)

V2.5 console pauper Adventurer on 90 minute days, day 193, level 157.
Gave up the Iron Man idea at V2.0 so I died a few times now when going for crazy adventures. Currently working on a new horde base experiment on the property of the Shotgun Messiah Factory in the wasteland, just for the fun of it. Keeping my old Wasteland horde/craftbase nearby active until I'm happy with the experiment.

Or until V3.0 forces me to give up this playthrough, seriously hope they will rethink this and find a way to convert old saves to the new version. After all, the changes between 2.0 and 2.5 were significant but the transition from old biome progression to the new was done in a good way.

I don't know that medication, but they when they don't want you walking, it's usually because of some medication or vital stat (such as oxygen level or blood pressure) that increases your risk of falling.

Day 59 120min. Turned off dead is dead for this one. I like the flow better this alpha group.
But about to restart, with adjustments to intensify, and take advantage of my new pc.

I could understand that, and had they not lied and told me my heart was messing up (as per the heart monitor they had me hooked up to), I would have stayed and talked to the doctors when they came back on duty, but when they got caught lying about that, I decided to end my treatment. And then the serious mistake was made, and so I decided not to wait for the doctors to arrive, and made them take the IV out, and off I went.

I never hope to have another hospital stay like that one.

I got Horde Night 35 done and over with, but I want to ask folks opinions on using Grandpa's Fergitin Elixir. My 5th blood moon was annoyingly harder than it needed to be, , as my shovel/axe didn't kill quick enough, and I kept running out of stamina, so should I, as a meele guy, just respec into spear Mastery each blood Moon?

I am not a melee type, but I believe the fist approach is better than shovel/axe.

Or go spears.
