V2.5 Survival Revival Dev Diary

The effect of the scent depends heavily on the biome and time of day. I liked it at night in the wasteland. You stand still, swinging your brass knuckles, and they just keep running towards you.
But are they really a challenge? Or just easy XP? That was kind of my point. It doesn't normally cause you any increased danger unless you aren't paying attention.

At the beginning of the game, the smell causes problems. In the middle of the game, it causes inconvenience. And at the end of the game, you deliberately take meat with you so that walking isn't boring.

This supercharge does nothing for me. Nothing changes in the speed or stats of my bike.

If you are solely looking at the display you have pictured, that is a bug that I'll try to get fixed soon ™️.

Under the hood, the supercharger mod is working. You can see the speed value in the F3 debug panel.

Normal SpeedTurbo Speed (Holding Shift or Right Bumper)
Without Mod~10m/s~14m/s
With Mod~11.8m/s~16.5m/s

Also, if you could post stuff like this in the Bug Reporting section, that would be best.

Thanks for the heads up!

What difficulty level are you on? I normally just have it at default and it doesn't affect me even on day 1. The zombies aren't high level, so it's not hard to kill them even with my Q1 stone spear. It's not really a problem unless I'm not paying attention. Like I said, I don't worry about smell at all, at any point in the game, and it has never been an issue. I kill more zombies, but it's not really a challenge. I can see it being a challenge for new players, and perhaps if you're on the higher difficulties.

Thanks. I got another problem with mushrooms growing like they are stuck on a wall, but they are not. I tried posting it in the bugs forum. But I had a problem with a file path. It keeps asking me for one but I don't have it.

Is that something in a POI or something you planted? It sounds like a mushroom that is planted on the wrong side of a half width block or something similar.

Something that I planted. I wanted to post this in the bugs forum but again, I ran into this issue with putting a file path and I didn't understand the question. 1770180965162.jpeg

It looks like you're planting them against one another. They can be planted against any other block, and mushrooms are basically blocks. I have often had them floating when I misclick. If you see that when planting, just destroy it and you'll get the seed back (you won't lose anything) and you can replant them. If you do so right away, you don't lose any time from them growing. Otherwise, you can leave them and just harvest them when they are ready.

When I tested the experimental version, I encountered the following situation. On game day 3 or 4, I collected enough magazines to be able to make smoothies. Smoothies require snow, so I decided to go to the winter biome, I went at night. On the way, I killed and butchered a chicken, a snake and half a deer (the zombies ate the other half). As soon as I approached the snow, 2 ordinary zombies, Chuck and a bear, jumped out at me. Considering that my strongest weapon was a tubular machine gun, the bear caused me serious problems. After the fight, my leg was broken and I was missing 2/3 of my health. The hike back was long; I had no transport at that time. And taking into account the meat from the bear, everyone who could flocked to me. And that was the default difficulty.
