I've been experiencing a weird movement bug starting in 2.5 EXP and continuing in 2.5 Stable (with a new save on 2.5 Stable). I've attached the log instead of linking to it and although there are 4 mods installed, they are very tiny mods and unlikely to be the problem. One adds a flagpole, one lets you turn on/off lights, one adds powered rollup doors, and one is a small set of POIs. So very unlikely to be related.
So what is the problem? Every so often, the game will decide that I need to be in a specific location and tries to force me to go to that location. It seems similar to the Origin Reposition thing, but instead of a teleport it is trying to push you to that location. The location is always nearby, and somewhere that I've either been to within the past 5-10 seconds, or very close to a location I had been to. If I don't press any keys, it will slide me until I reach that location. If a wall or something is in the way, it'll "fight" with trying to get me to move through the wall and will eventually push me through the wall. If I try to move in the opposite direction without sprinting, I'll still keep moving where the game wants me to move, but more slowly. If I sprint in the opposite direction, I'll move away from where the game wants me to be, but slowly. And at some point, I won't be able to move away any further as if it won't let me be more than a specific distance from where it wants me to be. The only way I've found to fix the problem is to go to the location it wants me to be and then it starts working normally again as soon as I reach that location. This is not easy if there are walls or floors in the way and I'm stuck letting it eventually push me through them. It's also a problem when I'm in the middle of a fight when it happens, though that has so far only happened once.
I looked over the log, but nothing stands out in it. The problem happened once in the log that I have attached. I didn't note the time that it happened, but it was around 20-40 minutes or so before when I exited the game (estimated).
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to reproduce this. It seems to happen each time I play if I play for a while, but nothing seems to be a common trigger for it. In this session, it happened when I was entering my base and it decided that I had to be outside again, eventually pulling me through the wall to get outside.
Since this isn't easily reproducible, I'm guessing it probably can't be verified or fixed, but I'm posting it with all the info I have in case it helps. As I said, it seems that it wants to relocate you for some reason, and once you get to that location, it works normally again. Maybe that's enough to help figure out what the cause is.
Here is a thread I started before to see if anyone else was having this problem. In it, I include a different log and I noted two times when it happened, so that may be more helpful than this one, but you can look at both and see what you think.
