Rain and other issues we have noticed

Zombies attack trees if they are aggroed and can't see you or can't reach you. A result of them being **brain**-dead

Sometimes I will shoot a zombie out in the open and it will run directly at me, and then when the zombie is just about 2 meters away from me it will hang a sharp turn in order to attack a tree that was farther from me AND the zombie than we were from each other when I fired my shot.

Early game I will shoot a zombie once with a stone arrow, then wait for it to reach me so I can finish it off with my club. If I were to keep shooting at the zombie this wouldn't happen. I only see this when I pull with a single shot. Continual damage seems to hold their attention enough for them to not be distracted by a particularly menacing tree.

I am only guessing here: If you were crouched and maybe moved a little away after the shot the zombie could have actually run to the spot he thinks you are but due to stealth doesn't see you. So he attacks the only thing he sees, the nearest tree.

I've found that the temperature once again really doesn't matter. I just ignore it. I'll add clothing when I find it and if there is room in armor to add a temperature mod, I'll do so. But otherwise, I just ignore it. The only change it has really made in how I play is that I avoid water a bit more.
How do you ignore the temp? When you're freezing, you walk and run slower and you can't jump upto the ladder that's 3rd block up, unless you upgrade parkour skill.

I have yet to notice any issues jumping. But I also wasn't trying to do any real jumping while cold, so probably just missed it. And I usually put points into parkour relatively early in the game because I like jumping higher. For speed, although I hate the reduced speed, I'm usually driving around instead of running unless I'm in a POI, so it isn't really a big deal. And the temperature issue disappears almost immediately in the forest. Since I'm not rushing through the biomes, by the time I'm doing very much in the snowy forest, I've already gotten some clothing and so the temperature doesn't have too much impact. I haven't really looked at it, but my understanding is that there are 2 levels of cold or heat issues. I don't believe I've ever hit the second of either, and the first level is very minor. Minor enough that I didn't worry about whether or not it was raining in the forest. I still went out and ignored the cold.

No stealth involved and I'm stationary.

Then I have no explanation for that.

As long as the ladder is only 2 block up you won't really notice. And 2 blocks up usually suffices.
I only found out about that hindrance after a screamer horde destroyed the lowest ladder of my base entry one berautiful but cold day. Afterwards I got into a heated argument with the zombies on foot. It was a sweaty affair for a while until they gone cold.

Ahh, I have the ladder set on the 3rd block, due to zombies climbing on eachother and able to reach the 2nd block.

I meant mainly when you're in the snow biome, it gets between 15-43° on some days. In the storm it gets into frostbite temps.
