Animal Tracking - how about some actual tracks?

Old Crow

Hunter
Not sure if it's a bug or intentional, but spending more than a single point in Animal Tracking results in no compass or map markers for animals when tracks ARE found, and you get nothing on your screen unless you're 5 feet away from an animal. How about adding some actual tracks to follow? It kinda feels like a false positive being told by the game that you're detecting tracks, but there's no visible animals around.

Try this, starting at you head remove the added mods you have one at a time and check.
There was a bug before with one of the mods. I cant remember which at the moment.
If you have no mods on you character, it may be local because I have the three points,
working. also I am solo.
Hope it helps

I've got four points, I'll give that a try. Thanks!

EDIT: Ah ha, the culprit seems to be the Fortitude Mod I had in my headgear. Thanks again!

Would be great, but making actual tracks on a voxel game would be too challenging or not possible. It doesn't have graphical features like RDR2 where you can make footprints in the mud or snow. It's an indie game.

I take it you don't pay a lot of attention to the graphics in the game? Watch an animal as it walks in the snow in the game and you'll see tracks. They last for a short time. I haven't paid attention to see if all animals do, but I know I've seen it for mountain lions. So, yes... you can make tracks in a voxel game. Don't forget that although voxels are the main blocks in the game, they can draw whatever they want on top of the blocks.

Impossible task for TFP, ask something easier

To a certain degree I do, but not so much on tracks. The game may have improved graphics than A16 7 Days, but not like Cyberpunk or the upcoming Crimson Desert kind of graphics and detail.
