Thoughts on landscaping?

Hello everyone.

I enjoy this game and building custom bases one thing that annoys me and i would like to change the following.

> Giving us the ability to hold R and choosing what type of terrain texture you want your top soil to be as it stands top soil just uses the texture that was once there or the colour of the biome.

> Giving us the ability to smooth terrain gradient allowing me to pave my own roads and other ground so i can drive my car smoothly perhaps by adding a rake tool to the game.

These are just two ideas i have that i think would be great additions to the game.

If you are using normal terrain, it should normally give you whatever terrain you chose to use. If you are using adaptive terrain, it's going to adapt to the terrain around it. Also, there tends to be some bleed-through from terrain under the terrain you're placing. For best results, replace a few blocks down instead of only one block, though that isn't always necessary.

As far as smoothing terrain, that would be helpful. It can definitely be a challenge to make a good road or driveway without weird elevation changes around it.
