XBOX Partial Corrupt Save?

I’m not sure if I’m doing this correctly, please let me know if not.
So me and my gf are playing 2.5 update on Xbox, games been quite choppy but we have worked with it. Currently at day 124. We were heading back to base from the Wastelands and next thing, she lags out, unable to join back. So I backed out to bring her back in. Well when I got back into the save, stuff was very off.
It’s a bit confusing, but the best way to describe it is that it seems the save was partially corrupted and like combined different saves into one world if that makes sense. Half of our chests are gone, our chem lab that we just built two days ago is gone, one of the two dew collectors is gone (it was the first collector we placed on like day 5), lost our apiary that we put in yesterday, but still have the deck I built right after the spidery, and HALF of our house is gone/broken down.

Is there a way to fix this or are we screwed?
We lost all of our med supplies, weapons, ammos, and parts..

Unfortunately, that sounds like it got messed up. There won't be any way to recover what was lost, though you could use the creative menu to give yourself the items back if you remember what they were. But if it messed up once, there's a decent chance it will again. Consoles don't have a lot of extra power beyond the minimum the game needs and the longer you play a save, the larger it becomes. I've seen a few people posting about lost games when they were over 100 days. I don't know if TFP can give a better answer or a way to solve the problem, but it may be a good idea to plan for shorter games. The game is really designed for many shorter games rather than one really long game, though that is of course an option.

That’s really tragic, my girlfriend will be very bummed out.. but I did anticipate this kind of a response.. thank you for replying! I may just do creative to get the stuff back then lol

I wish I had a better one. Someone else may have a better suggestion since I don't use consoles, but I don't think there will be one. Even on PC, you can't usually fix a messed up save other than to use the creative menu (assuming you can get back into the game).

You can try 1 last Hail Mary not guaranteed to work but may. On Xbox, "Cloud" versions of the game are stored and updated periodically as you play. So you end up having a "local" copy stored on your Xbox and a "Cloud" copy stored on the Xbox network.

Go to the game's property page where you'll find the game stored on your hard drive along with any saved game progress.

Delete any reserved space, usually around 5-10GB. The reserved space will be added back later automatically. Now delete your saved game data. When prompted you'll be given the option to delete "only" your local saved data or delete saved data "everywhere". Select the local option.

When the game restarts, it will attempt to reload the latest backup save game data it stored on the Xbox Network, "Cloud" copy. If it works, you'll get loaded into the game at one of the times in the past when it last successfully saved. If not, well like I said earlier, Hail Mary! Good luck!
