Dedicated server - server config file got reset on PC

Not unless you have a backup or have Windows set to track changes to files. Server configs are usually replaced with updates because there are new things or changes to them. It is recommended to make a copy of it and either use that as a backup or else just rename the copy and set the game to use the copy instead of the original so you can make changes to the copy and it won't matter if the original gets reset.

To use a copy of the config file, go to the launch settings in the game's properties in Steam and add the following:

-configfile=serverconfig.SP.xml

Just change the filename to whatever you want to call it. In this case, serverconfig.xml is renamed to serverconfig.SP.xml, but you can call it anything you want.
