A couple of things:

Scavenger
The food, it also returns empty jars. Is this a bug or normal? It happened to me with grilled corn and boiled eggs.

And I've also seen that clothing protects you from the cold and heat at the same time. It reminds me of the coats in the old versions. There should be winter clothes and summer clothes In my opinion.

It's set to do that in the xml. I noticed it when updating the xml for my mod. I guess it's to simulate not losing it when cooking? Seemed a bit odd to me to do it that way, as if you grab the food and eat it later, why did you magically get a jar back? But I guess it was simpler than changing the recipe output code.

Might be something that changes during EXP.

not a bug, feature! Food which require jar with water for cook, create empty jar in ur inventory after consuming! A bit idiotic but...we got what we got

That seems intended based on things they have said. I'm fine with it. I don't have any interest in having to constantly change clothes every time it rains.
I understand, but the temperature now works better than in previous versions. It doesn't get hot and then cold after 10 minutes, at least that's the impression I have from my first few hours in the forest. I'm only on day 3, and the temperature is pleasant, averaging 17 degrees. And it's cold when it rains. In theory, you would only have to change when changing biomes, which makes sense. Also, specific spaces for clothes in vehicles would solve the problem of carrying clothes in your inventory.

You just equip the best clothes you can find and forget it. Insulation works for cold and heat. Add insulation mods in your armor to get the best hot/cold resistance possible. We didn't want to have to change clothing per biome so we designed it this way.
It's understandable, I still have to try the difficult biomes and progress further in the game with the temperature mods to give a verdict.

If you had to swap hot and cold items, then every time it rained in the forest, you'd have to swap to items that keep you warm and then when it stopped raining and you got overheated from those, you'd have to swap to items that either keep you cooler or at least not as warm. I've been "freezing" in the forest in the rain. It's actually pretty annoying with that cold overlay, making me not like being in the rain. I don't even want to go into water now because I'll be freezing. I'll eventually have better protection from it and it won't be an issue, but it definitely gets annoying in the early game. And that is without having to swap clothing. If I had to also swap clothing, I'd really hate it and would disable it entirely. I may still disable it entirely because it doesn't really do anything for me with the current implementation. I don't want to constantly deal with the overlays on my screen when I don't yet have good enough clothing items or mods to protect me. I never liked those overlays and there isn't an option to disable them.

Yes, I understand what you're saying, but my point is that if it's only cold or a normal temperature in the forest, you don't have to change your clothes if you're already protected with warm clothing. The same goes for the snowy biome, where it's not going to be hot. The only problem would be in biomes where there are varying temperatures <cold/hot>. Anyway, it seems like something that would be easy to modify, so mods will probably come out later.

I suppose that depends on how it works. If warm clothing increases your temperature such that if you were wearing max warm clothing and were in the forest, you'd be overheated, then you'd have to remove stuff for the forest when it's not raining. Vice versa for cold clothing. They could make it so that it doesn't change your core temperature, but then you'd just wear a mix of warm and cold clothing to cover everything (after all, you have 4 clothing + armor mods to cover hot and cold), which would be the same as it is now. Unless you are thinking of something else?

Right now, I haven't played enough; I only have level 1 clothing from the first 5 days, so I don't know if you'll get heatstroke in the forest at 17-20 degrees when wearing higher-level clothing. We'll have to try it out. So far, I haven't felt hot, only cold when it rains or you get wet, but the temperature seems stable and doesn't fluctuate to extremes like in the old alphas.

Well, right now, you won't. The current way is that you can stack hot and cold and not worry about it since the protection is for both. But if you have to change based on hot or cold, then it would make sense for it to work differently. Otherwise, you just wear half hot and half cold and get the same effect we have now.

In any case, level 1 clothing does not provide much protection, as the character has still felt cold, but not hot. However, it is still too early to know how everything works until I progress further in the game.
