UHHH IMA BUST into those containers

If you want that then, zombie chickens, zombie wolves (not counting the Dire wolf since he's a mutated), zombie coyotes, zombie snakes, zombie boars (not counting Grace since she's a mutated), zombie mountain lion.
Plus. there's no regular birds or dogs, only the zombie dog and zombie vulture so, where does it end?
It ends there cuz you listed them all. Zombie noodles on horde night truly scary

I'm betting you'll end up being fine with the new system and feel no need to mod them out. I look forward to reading what you think after you try it out.
I hope so. We'll see. I'm always willing to give things a fair chance even if I'm not hopeful about it. If I have to make jars for any reason, I can just about guarantee I won't like it, though. And even finding jars will annoy me. Heh.

I have a prediction about the future of jars and water, etc...
...they're barely going to make a dent in the gameplay...at least in mine for sure.

When I played A16 recently for 50 days, the concept of getting drinkable water quickly faded into the background.
Getting drinkable water in the current version of the game also quickly fades into the background...but not as quickly as it did in A16.

And after finally experiencing one of the game's popular overhaul mods, combined with my indirect understanding of the other popular overhaul mods, I am very confident in saying that the Fun Pimps know what they're doing.

I firmly believe that if this game followed most of the suggestions from the online community...it would be dead.

I agree , one hand not every suggestion is a good hell mine are ■■■■. But some things such as water could have been overhauled in such a way to make getting clean water a reward and things like tea, a luxury

It's not the jars that are the problem. It's how easy it is to just simply clean healthy water.

Zombie Vegetables. That’s the end. When asparagus jumps off the plate to eat your brains then this genre has officially come to the end
Well Attack of the Killer Tomatoes...and the movie ended with the Carrots all saying its our turn now! So the killer vegies NEVER end...
Im really going to miss her...a tomato ate my sister!-line from the song

Now, what about having a storage for the clean water we produce from the dew collector, jars etc.
One of those large Water Totes 275gallons you can get at Home Depot or Tractor Supply Company...I have a few on my property now for clean water
storage!

Then you'll be happy as will most people I believe. Most of the complaints about jars revolved around the immersion factor and survival "common sense" ability to be able to live near a water source so you can gather water. And that is primarily what the return of jars was meant to address by TFP-- the ability to carry water away from a water source by filling empty jars.

That sounds promising.

The fact that you won't get them back after use just drives you out into to world to replenish your stock which is also a good thing, imo

I don't mind another reason for going out into the world, but it seems weird for their to be empty jars for collection but no empty jar after use. I'll have to try it and see how I like it. I might want to mod out the loss of the jar. Right now I've modded back collecting water from a water source -- rather than drink when you click, you get a jar of murky water and around 6 seconds later you can collect another.

Obviously I've been okay with bullet casings just disappearing and having to collect more brass. Maybe that's because I primarily use a bow as a day-to-day weapon and I can reclaim many of my arrows.

For a long time, I've been of the mindset that water availability shouldn't be the challenge, but drinkability.
The new implementation of the system is different from the old, so I'm not going to pull a bunch of "I remember how it was and I didn't like it."
I'm curious to see what we get.

Yes, that's been my thinking too. If I look to the real world around me, unless we're in select biomes, water is pretty plentiful, but pretty much none of it is safely drinkable. If you've got the remains of civilization around you then there should be lots of containers. We literally throw them away daily in the form of single-use plastics.

Brussel sprouts can look like little brains. Maybe undead-asparagus would like those?

I think it was The Sims where zombies attacked gardens unless you put a fence around the garden.

Never needed, waste of space, time and effort. you can disagree of course. But the game was improved by removing them and moving towards finding the water you need by looting, and by using the dew collectors.

I've seen people argue over the immersion of them, but they don't fight over the need for gas containers, bowls for stew, etc. which brings me to what I believe they truly want them for, and that is to make infinite amounts of glue. If they were worried about immersion, then why not fight about the other containers that aren't in the game?

I have mentioned a few times over the years about why the mixer needs an engine but not fuel. I could never wrap my head around that one.

I think that just counts as one container

Something new I learned is basicly gas decays very quickly without stableizers, even with it it can only last about 2 years or so before it gets thicker and thicker before basicly being unusable for engines and cars. Still flammable but not the best thing to use in engines.

Now whenever I watch the walking dead or me getting fuel in 7dtd I'll always think that. Then again we don't know when/how long the apocalypse has been going on and I wanna do a post on it too see people's thoughs

There have been posts in the past with people making guesses if you want to do a search. We won't know the real time frame until TFP says what it is. I think most people look at it as somewhere around 2-3 years, give or take. But yes, gas is only good for a relatively small amount of time, so all of the apocalyptic games, movies, shows, and books that have people getting gas after many years are not at all realistic. But it makes for a good story, so it's not really a big deal.

It doesn't make or break it its just something I see and I go. Thanks I hate it.

But in terms of time is maybe a year but some things make me think otherwise like power still being on unless its some super power system that we cant comprehend!. Old 7 days I would say maybe a month

Power is definitely something that doesn't fit unless it has happened recently. But if it happened recently, you'd also see a lot more corpses and trash and whatever else from people trying to escape. No time frame will be perfect with how the game looks. That is something I don't think they really planned out or else just didn't care much about.

One other thing regarding gas... if people were really in this situation and it's been long enough for gas to either already be taken and used or else for it to go bad, they would be far more likely to make ethanol based gas or similar rather than regular fuel or to make SVO for diesel fuel. Those would be far easier to make, even for a relative novice. But it's a game and it doesn't really matter to most people.

The only thing I know for sure, which means nothing really, but there's a girly calendar dated 2013 and there's yearly calendar dated 2034. Does it mean it's been going on for 21 years? Who knows as the first one could be an old calendar, but it's everywhere so again... Who knows!
