PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

How about 7D2D 2? It isn't too soon for that, is it? ;)
Since the next game is a "still unannounced" Unreal Engine project, 7 Days to Die 2 will take a very long time to even see the light of day.
That is unless they change their minds and go ahead with the sequel before anything else... You never know.
Also, since 7 Days Blood Moons doesn't seem to be doing well so far, so I hope it doesn't interfere too much with future projects. I do hope that the iLLOGIKA studio game picks up at some point and starts selling more.

Technically we can loot them.
anyone notice the master class diversion from mindless pointless tfp promised this i am entitled to that back to what is interesting and coming up with just 5 words?

"so no lootable corpses then..."

and please, its nukemded not nukem_ded. your change of forums has broken my provenance

The next TFP project is being developed on Unity based on the work done on 7 Days To Die. Faatal even talks about it from time to time. But strangely, there is no news about the UE game. I remember asking Faatal about the third TFP project last year, and he said it was 7 DBM, which iLLOGIKA is working on, if I remember correctly. And 1 project is 7 DTD and 2 project is next TFP Unity game. But then what about the UE project?

Luckily I speak Grandpa Minion so I’ll translate:

Roland stop bring bandits up.
When Faatal discusses bandit progression, I pay attention.
The last time I recall him mentioning bandits he was engaged in other projects on the game at that moment and until those more pressing matters are resolved bandits where put on his back burner.
Your attempts to address this topic are misleading to others so, I kindly ask you to refrain from doing so until the TFP release when bandits will actually be implemented which i have already stated numerous times, bandits is still quite far off.

I don't think it's fair to expect Roland to never mention the progress on bandits. It's pretty much well-known that they aren't coming anytime soon and people are naturally curious.

Yes, they were when I nailed one with my arrow and zombies ran in to eat his corpse once the smell of it reached them. They were really far off. It was a great shot.

Other times they are up close and personal.

I don’t plan to bring up bandits all the time. I’m not going to reveal anything new about them that Faatal hasn’t already brought up. But it’s important that people are reassured that internally bandits are operational at a minimal level and that the game runs great with their inclusion already and even now at their basic levels it is creating new emergent gameplay and stories that have not been experienced before.

It didn't take you more than 10 minutes to give an example of exactly what im talking about misleading people...
A) the game supports 8 players was your experience tested solo or multiplayer?
Can you honestly say during your experience that you had with bandits would be the same with 8 players on?

This is great. Thanks for bringing up this topic. I’m happy to discuss bandits as much as I’m able. The answer is that I’ve never played this game at the full count of 8 players so I have no idea whether any of it works at that player count from personal anecdotal evidence. I play solo most of the time as do a large proportion of the player base. It is good to read from you that the supported number for MP is max 8. Glad that is making headway with you.

I can try jumping on with the QA guys in their next session to see how the game runs with as many players as we have and see if there are problems or maybe just ask them and then report back.

Of course…..that will mean me bringing up bandits again in the future. Is that….okay?

Now, if all your posts were actual questions like this (minus line 1) instead of random false and misleading information with no facts to back them up, people could actually have a real conversation with you. And there isn't anything misleading about giving personal experience about the game, regardless if it's based on solo or multiplayer. If you want additional information, you post real questions like what you did here (again, minus line one) and then you will get the answers you are looking for.

And don't try to keep people from talking about bandits. People can talk about them if they want. If you don't believe they'll happen, you can live in that imaginary world until they appear, but others have every right to talk about them and believe they are coming. No, it isn't "soon", but they are still coming in 3.0.

I've never seen the fun pimps promise that you could loot their corpses. I'm not saying they didn't. But with the loot bag thing they have going on with the zombies, I'd be shocked if they let us loot bandit corpses. To be fair, bandits would bandit because they don't have a lot of resources, so it makes sense that they wouldn't have a lot of stuff on them.

Technically we can loot them. The loot bags simply make it so we don’t waste time looting every corpse when most would be empty anyway. In my example I would have failed my quest to run over and loot the corpse but if a loot bag dropped it would still be there once my quest was complete.

As of now you can steal their weapons. When I said they drop them I meant that they are literally on the ground and you can pick them up and take them.

No cannibalism at the moment. Only faatal knows if that will become a thing provided Grandpa allows him to talk about it…lol
They will probably not drop their equipment on the ground. If they did drop them, they would not be any better than the players, unless it was randomly something good, which is what the loot bag will contain, so you can see it and know it.
